360E with a DN box on the same coax?

Can I connect the LNB out of the SV360 to the input of my ViP211 from DN? I am all but certain that I will be running a second cable from the dish to my entertainment center but I wonder if these can co-exist on the same cable.

Maybe a better question is, is there any potential for damage to either box but trying this connection?

no potential damage but i'm pretty sure you want get signal enough to work that way

Have you been able to look at what kind of LNB you have on the roof? Should be pretty safe to carefully even unbolt the head if necessary, to see if you can get a brand & model number and also see if there are any unused coaxial connectors on the base.

I am going to assume you have a twin head, and if that's true then looping from the 360 to your present box is likely going to mean that your ViP211 will only be able to see the bird that the 360 has selected.

you can probably take the lower fitting under tuner one and run it to the dn box and turn the loop thru feature on and try that but don't think you will be able to run tuner 2 unless you have another cable comming into house.
