sv elite loop hookup (re manual)

Has anyone tried the loop hookup as shown in the sv elite manual....the manual is vague as to what this will accomplish.

Thanks in advance for any and all replies

Re: sv elite loop hookup (re manual)

it will mirror the channels on tuner one to tuner two but run them as seperate tuners but must have connection type to loop thru and use channel copy under installation to transfer channels from 1 to 2

Re: sv elite loop hookup (re manual)

How would you go about it. I see that in theory it will work but how would you go about the settings? or do you have to use the same receiver on the other end?

Re: sv elite loop hookup (re manual)

you can get a multiswitch 4x4 and then run 4 cables inside your house if you have dishpro lnbs then you can use a dp34 if you have legacy you can use sw44 lots of combinations most of the multi swuitches are about 30-40 bucks and you can get up to 8 cables in the house to hok up to several recievers

Where do you find this choice "loop through". I don't see that anywhere.

Re: sv elite loop hookup (re manual)

if you look at the manual it show a picture with lines to where to put cables

lnb1 with the cable then below that you will see a loop 1 to tuner 2 or lnb 2 in and it is looped

Re: sv elite loop hookup (re manual)

Oh I see, but if you have the dual tuner hooked up from a separator to your SV-360 then this is impossible.

Meh, I would rather just run a new dish or install another switch and get the real deal. Thanks
