Converting avi files to ts.......not able to play.
Well, I did the converting (I download a lot of movies online) and gave it a shot, per the instructions thread below, but when trying playback, I get the message "Creating index file, please wait..." if I press the play button, I will see a progress bar in red. I gets to 01:16:07 then just stops. That's it, nothing more. Tried it with different movies, different drives, same thing. Any input? edwinsao?

Re: Converting avi files to ts.......not able to play.
hey bud i had the same problem, ive been stressing out over it . all u gotta do is rename the file after conversion to .trp. in the windows explorer u have to go to tools , folder options and uncheck the hide file extensions, and then change the ext. .ts to .trp and u should be good to go.

Re: Converting avi files to ts.......not able to play.
sorry bud it does not work that way .. it is still just playing a .ts file .. it is a codec it will not chage that is why you can still play it .. both the 360's play .ts files with 44000 frame rate and mp2 audio

Re: Converting avi files to ts.......not able to play.
Try this tool
-http://clarketech.funfiles.cc/thread.php?threadid=166
For clarke tech receiver but works on my TM 6900
1 Convert to mpeg2 with mediacoder
2 Use Projectx to make ts
3 Use ClarkeTech Movie Converter v1.01 to create files
On big file this makes folder with files inside
eg video.ifo video.trp video.000 video.001 etc
check your format
Note it works better with ac3 audio than mp2
Java needs to be installed to run projectx
