SV 360 Elite Setup?

Ok I think I found the problem, I was using a different type of coaxial cable, I needed RG6? I think thats it.
But when ever I do a 110 scan it says failed at the end, and it only gets up to about 163 channels does that sound right? It looks like a bunch are missing.

No thats not good. If your hitting both the 110 and 119, you should be getting 500 plus channels.

You are missing a bird. Keep looking into your settings, something is still amiss. You say you have good signal strength on both? And quality? And you have double and triple checked your settings with your LNB and the info posted on this sight?

How are you connecting? Are you using both tuners?

Spill the beans. tell us everything. How many cables, what sort of switches, how many tuners etc.

Im connecting using one of the connections that was going into my VIP622. So now my VIP622 is only using one tunner, and the Elite is only using 1 tuner.
Is the switch the splitter looking thing on the end of the cable that splits the signal into Tuner 1 and Tuner 2? Cause that is on there, Dish network installed it.
So on the elite I was able to scan 110 and 119, but when I scanned 110 it only picked up 163 channels and at the end it said "failed" in blue. They are assigned to port 1 and 2
I have a good signal 75 and a Quality of 100. I believe I have followed the setup guide exactly.
Did I get that name right is the cable called RG6?

take the single line coming from roof and plug into tuner one of the elite and rescan see what you get reset sat settings and rescan. run line straight to 360 elite and try with everything else disconnected. and if it works leave sub box alone and run a seperate cable from roof to the other room to where the elite is with a separator for both tuners of the elite. this is all considering you are running a dpp lnb. unless the switch thing you are talking about says seperator on it than it is a diplexer and it will not work to seperate signals that you are trying to do

under dish settings on the elite when you have a satellite chosen like E7 in the gray box on the upper right corner should say echo 7 and when you change sat's to E10 does it say it in the gray box on the upper right corner.

When its on Echostar 8,X, that blue box says Echostar 8,x [110.0W]

in dish settings highlight transponders on E8 and hit ok. tp list should come up and how many tps does it show and how many have a number of 20000 or 21500

There are 29 in the TP list, and all are 20000

try this setting once on tuner 1 on elite

connection type dpp separator
leave everything else the same
E7 diseqc 1 E8 diseqc 2
after setup of each sat, press red button to scan each sat seperately

That seems to have done the trick, I pulled 645 channels combined. Thank you.

The image quality isnt meant to be as good as a VIP622 is it?
