Re: elite360

Once you plugged the USB stick into the box, what steps did you take? Did you go to main menu -- PVR -- USB Drives and select the file?

Re: elite360

Once you select the file name of the BIN file, the box should go through a process of loading that takes about two minutes. At the end you will be asked to reboot. Once this process has been done with the latest custom file, you do not need to enter keys or any other codes -- when it has rebooted it should be ready to receive.

Re: elite360

Asking questions is one of the best ways to learn. And at this site, there are plenty of folks with answers.

When you download the latest file from this location,

http://www.abadss.com/forum/941-sv-3...9-22-08-a.html

it is in the form of a ZIP file. When you unzip into an empty folder on your computer, you will find a small text file and a large file with the extension ".ROM". This is the 'BIN' or 'binary' file that needs to be copied to your USB stick for the Elite. When you select the name of this file from the USB Drives menu, the box recognizes the ".ROM" extension and knows it is a program update file, and on the pop-up menu your main option is to "Update S/W". This is the two-minute process I was referring to -- just follow the prompts that appear on the screen.

Once the box has rebooted, do not attempt to remove the stick without first using the "Safe Remove" function. After reboot, the box should be ready to receive signals if your rooftop equipment is OK and your dish settings are correct.
