Dish Setting/Transponder not "saved"

I'm having issues with saving the transponder settings under Dish Setting. When I choose a certain transponder (with a better quality) and press menu to exit, it does'nt ask me to save the settings, and reverts back to the old setting. How can I make the setting to get saved?

thanks,

Re: Dish Setting/Transponder not "saved"

Dont know if it will be saved,
You only change the TP's to get Quality and make sure you're aimed to the sat you want.

Re: Dish Setting/Transponder not "saved"

gibahca is right. the quality basically tells you if you're pointed at the right sat...other than that you just scan all the tp's regardless if you have quality. when you exit out of the settings, you just viewed how well that tp frequency is being received to your stb. it's not anything you can change

Re: Dish Setting/Transponder not "saved"

in that case. every now and then i get no signal on my channels and then i go in menu and change transponders and exit out without saving and get the channels. what is causing this???

I'm using DPP but my dish settings don't have DPP option selected, i have "seperate". Could that be a reason?
