PVR function - recording not reliable

Anyone experienced recording problem like this? After recording, sometimes when its playing, it stops and the status bar just starts forwarding. The image doesn't change but the recording keeps forwarding, so basically it doesn't play back sometimes. I have tried two USB HDD's and it happens on both for some of the recording.

yes, I am having this problem also. PVR function is very unstable.

I have experienced this too. It happens when you begin watching a recorded show while another recording is in progress. The in progress recording will freeze at whatever point it is at when you begin watching the other recording.

This is a software bug in the elite.

You are right, verified and its true, so what is the workaround to it? if a recording is in progress, just not change the channel, what if you want to record something and watch something else?

As far as I know, there is no workaround. Just make sure there is nothing recording / scheduled to record when you want to watch any recordings. From what I have read the factory software is the same.

I hope they fix this because even the most basic PVR should be able to do this.

I'm seeing other strangeness with the PVR as well, such as freezing during playback about halfway through a recorded program. I find that if I back up a few seconds and then press play it will continue through for several more minutes and freeze again at some random point.

I haven't seen that one yet... I know that n3 is the priority now but I hope that support will address all these issues we're having with this receiver. I decided to buy this one because I had read about the great support. I hope I won't be disappointed.

Well it's only been out a little over a year so I will give them the benefit f the doubt.
