the sonicview 360 Elite is currently the only free to air receiver with dpp separator support.
moved, stuck and left open for discussions and questions.
nice info s2byus.thank you buddy.

provided you meet these requirements:
2. It can be used only with a DPPlus LNB or a DPP44 Switch (each should have the dpPLUS symbol stamp on it).
all you do,is bring 1 line in from a port on the twin.(just not the port off by itself on the dpp twin.that's an lnb-in port.).
then right in back of your sv 360 Elite.place the dpp separator, and bring two short coaxial cables from the switch into both tuners and bam, both tuners are fed and can multi watch/record.
like noted, the dp twin and the dpp twin are very similar.but can be identified quickly and easily in two ways.
a dp twin is marked DP.
a dpp twin is marked DP PLUS.
the Dish Pro Plus or DP+ or DPP,(all same lnb's.these are some common names/nick names/abbreviation's for this lnb.) also has one extra port.its an lnb IN port.
a regular dish pro twin or a dish pro quad will NOT work with a DPP separator.(unless you use a dpp44 switch of course.)
a pic of the dpp twin:
you can if you wish, run two lines from lnb ports into each tuner directly.in fact you have to do this if you have a regular dish pro twin-to fully maximize both tuners.
but with a dpp and dpp separator, you accomplish the same thing with dpp technology with the use of only one cable entering the house.
..............................................
5. DPP Separators can be used with each or all output ports like this:
· For a DPP twin LNB – up to 2 DPP Separators
now this part, lets say you want to add another sv 360 Elite.
you have one port free to run another line to another dpp separator and duplicate this setup again.(still nothing to do with that lnb in port.that's always for another dp dual lnb.never goes to a receiver.no exceptions-ever.)
for antenna settings, you pretty much leave everything defaulted.
but change lnb type to OCS-DP
and diseqc ports:
119=#1
110#2
IF 3rd lnb plugged in-#3
.................................................. .
· For an integrated DPP Triple LNB – up to 3 DPP Separators
to help with this part.
let say you have a 1000.2 dish with the triple head lnb:
you can run 3 lines from 3 output ports to 3 receivers.
run each line into a dpp separator, placed right in back of each sv 360E's and you have 119/110/129 to 3 sv 360E dual tuners.
no limits or conflicts.fully free to watch and or record two channels at same time on any one of these birds.
now also like the dpp twin, you can connect a dp dual.(not a twin) into the lnb IN port.and all 3 stbs would get 110/119/129/and lets say 91w.-or wherever you pointed that dish, that's holds the dp dual lnb.simple right?
for antenna settings, you pretty much leave everything defaulted.
but change lnb type to OCS-DP
and diseqc ports:
119=#1
110#2
129#3
IF 4th lnb plugged in-#4
.................................................. ..........
notice the lnb that can be plugged into a dish pro plus twin or triple lnb's LNB-IN port:
notice its not a twin? its only for 1 sat location.it can be a single-one port(tho they do not make them anymore).or the more common, dual-two ports.
dish pro dual lnb:
notice,it looks just like a standard(also known as legacy) lnb.but its marked DP on it.this DP marking is a MUST for this application.
many people call the twin lnb duals.tho a true statement i suppose,in that they can have 2 outputs.that's a very inaccurate description.(calling double eyed lnb's twin is much more accurate and precise.)
THIS lnb is more accurately described as a dual lnb.
in most applications, you will setup a devoted dish to hold this lnb and catch a bird.
from one of these ports, you simply run a coaxial line to the LNB-IN port of your DPP twin or DPP tripple 1000.2 lnb
.................................................. ...
what about power?
can the sv 360E support enough to do this, without the need of the dpp44 with power inserter?
the dn receivers supply 750mA to the lnb.
the sv 360E claims to supply 700mA.
there should be no known power issues when running dpp lnb's with multiple 360 Elites/dpp separators and dp dual combo's.
go ahead, try to slow one down.
