Re: newby
try going into network again and make sure it is on static not dhcp ,toggle this a couple times back to dhcp then static and see if you get ip to show while your doing this .your best bet would be to load latest file then you have this out of the way,you will not lose settings loading bin it will just reboot.then if you still dont have address do what you did before to get it.

Re: newby
you still have it hooked up the same way you got address before?then i would try rebooting everything again .this time instead of just powering off the nfusion unplug it for 5 minutes ,then after you reboot everything plug nf back in and power it up again.

Re: newby
Ok , this is what is called a SMC modem/router combo , if the receiver will not set up using the DCHP settings , you may have to enter them manually in the Static mode , the settings should look something like this , in your System settings / Network settings
DCHP/Static --Assign either DCHP or Static
IP address: 192.168.001.???, Some routers have a assigned range between 001 and 099 , so you may need to assign a number between 101-199 here
Subnet mask : 255.255.255.000
Gateway: 192.168.001.001
DNS : 192.168.001.001
PVR server address: 255.255.255.255

Re: newby
you are not getting an IP address from your router then this is what you can try. This is how you can go about putting in a static IP address the correct way. On your computer click on the start button, then on the run box type cmd and click on. On the screen that comes up type "ipconfig /all" without the quotation marks. Write down all of those addresses. IP address, subnet mask, default gateway and dns IP addresses. On your nfusion type the same addresses but go up one. Example if your computer's IP address is like this.
192.168.1.100
255.255.255.0
192.168.1.1
DNS 65.150.25.150
Then on your nfusion you would put in this address.
192.168.1.101
255.255.255.0
192.168.1.1
DNS 65.150.25.150
Before you do that from your computer's command prompt type this command to make sure you won't have an IP conflict. type "ping 192.168.1.101 -t" whithout the quotation marks and press enter.
can you get into your router configuration? check and see if you can turn mac address on or off?
