Bev and DN on 1 tv
Hi, i want to hook up bev and dn on the same hd tv. My tv has two inputs and I i have two seperate cables coming in from the dishes with 2 receivers. The bev receiver is hd and the dn is not . The hd is hooked up through the hdmi cable. Could I hook up the other one through the s cable? Could bev play on tv 1 and dn on tv 2? Any help would be appreciated Thanks.

Re: Bev and DN on 1 tv
If you have both B-v and D-sh you can use a multi switch and set up Dn on one input and B-v on the other using your HD receiver. Then connect the line out to your receiver. The switch will allow you to get both Sats. When you select a channel on either Sat. you will automatically switched to that sat whether it is B-v or Dn. A DP 34 switch should work fine cause you can hook up to 3 receivers on yo it.

Re: Bev and DN on 1 tv
You need not have two inputs to the TV. You can use the HDMI input to the TV and watch both Bev and DN through the same input. It will show you either HD or SD through the HDMI connection.
All you need is a DiSEqC switch and connect the Satellites to the switch and bring one input to your Receiver. Say DN 119 to LNB1 on the switch, 110 to LNB2, 91 to LNB3 and 82 to LNB4 on the switch.
I hope I understood your question correctly.

Re: Bev and DN on 1 tv
I understand what you're saying VGiddy. Thats what I would do if bev and dn we're fta but only dn is fta, bev is not. I'm not sure how to say it using the correct terminology. Can I still do it that way?

Re: Bev and DN on 1 tv
Now that the information is more clear, you can connect them like below:
1. Lamb88l has one solution in that you can get an A/B Switch from Radio Shack or The Source and connect the BEV to INPUT A and DN to INPUT B and output to your TV.
Here you will not be able to use the HDMI connection to view HD at its best.
2. You can connect it the way you have suggested and that will work fine as well.
But you will also need the Red and White Jacks connected to the TV and the Receiver for sound with the S Cable for DN.

Re: Bev and DN on 1 tv
Yes Bev doesuse SW21 switches to switch form 91 to 82. You will be using a DiSEqC switch to move from 119 to 110.
Now since you tell me that Bev is using SW21 for its Sub, then you can take cables from the second connection on the LNBs and add it to the DiSEqC Switch that you use for your DN and set them up as 119 LNB1, 110 - LNB2, 91 as LNB3 and 82 as LNB4.
That will work fine.

Re: Bev and DN on 1 tv
Peggy, I should be able to undelete it so you can see it but I believe jc would have to be the one to do it since he deleted. If you would like to see it for a fraction of a second, go the post and click on edit and it will appear for a second.
This has nothing to do with you. This just proves what I told you, I see them a lot

Re: Bev and DN on 1 tv
new to FTA here. Similar question. I want to test with nfusion HD reciever, but I need to know a few things first. Note that I am on the East coast, NC to be more specific. I am interested in Testing primarily charlie and occasionally B3v for Sunday Ticket. Being that I would have an HD receiver, I would expect to be testing the Hd channels. so:
-Which birds should I be looking at, I'd assume 110, 119, 92, and 81. But aren't the Charlie hd channels on 61.5 and 129. Could I hit all the birds at once from NC?
-What dish and LNB combo should I go with (size, # of LNB's, internal switch on the LNB or external diseqc, motorized)? I'm assuming I should do a triple LNB on a HD sat with a motorized arm and have it redirect to B3v only when I want to watch the games.

As you are in the East coast you can hit 61.5 for your HD content.
However, since you are contemplating a motorized system I would recommend the following:
39" Dish with a SG2100 motor and an Invacom quad LNB.
Now you can watch any Bird you like including the TRUE FTA Satellites.
I believe for your location the DN Sats are 72.7, 77 and 61.5 and Bev 91 and 82.
I am sure with the 39" dish you will also be able to hit 119 and 110 and even 129 from there. DN HD are on 61.5 and 129 and Bev HD are on 82.

Re: Bev and DN on 1 tv
is the quad you recommend the QPH-031 and will any 39" dish be able to receive HD content or do I need a specific branded one?

Re: Bev and DN on 1 tv
sorry for the double post, but there is no edit button?!
I was able to find combos that had all the gear you mentioned but with a 36" dish. Would that be ok? Should I be looking at any specific shaped dish?
Thanks again!
