Second receiver with sub missing channels
I have a second receiver which is subbed and brought it to another home and is properly set up because I was receiving all channels for one day now most channels are gone, is this because it is not at the right home, is this possible.

What provider you have? Maybe your Dish was Move.Didn't matter the area.

Re: Second receiver with sub missing channels
try resetting it also look and see if you are using the right channel list . you might have it on a list like fav 1 and not on all channel

Re: Second receiver with sub missing channels
you might want to do a check switch that will tell you what sats the receiver is really getting and it will if you dish is put up right it will pull in all the channels. not sure how far you moved receiver but you might be in a diffrent spot beam and a check switch should fix things. good luck and let us know how things go

Re: Second receiver with sub missing channels
Thanks Sly, I had done a check switch and I am getting green on both 110 and 119, so it is not a question of signal reception because I was getting all channels, a day later lost most channels but still getting a few but not all it is not set to fav channels it is set to all channels. I am stumped

Are you in the same zip-code area?that'll mess it up if the right code isn't in the box.

Re: Second receiver with sub missing channels
There are some channels that are spotbeamed, it might be that you have now moved out of the area, but 30 miles isn't that bad. Have you had the receiver unplugged for a while?

Thanks every one for all the help found out that receiver needs to be re-activated by dish. When new receiver was activated second receiver was de-activated.

Re: Second receiver with sub missing channels
so if i currently have 2 working receivers at home number 1 and take 1 to home number 2 with an identical satellite dish i should receive at home 2 just fine? i need to do this temporarily, about a month, the satellite dish is already there, its about 45 miles away, from what i see in this thread it sounds like i am fine, correct?

Re: Second receiver with sub missing channels
Yes but you may need to check switch in installation menu when connecting to other home because dish may be reversed at home 2, good luck
