having a few problems, please help

I just got the sv360premier yesterday. I hooked it up and aimed my dish.

Today, my usb stick drive won't read. I keep getting a message saying that the file system is not clean.

Also, some menus freeze. Ex: if you go to user settings and then just press 'menu' again to exit back to the main menu, the menu just freezes and you have to exit and go back in.

Should I have done a full system clean up first? I tried to do it by pressing 'ok' on the front panel and powering on the system with the main switch in the back of the unit. I get a pink screen. I can barely make out what it says. I can read 'download' and i can see that it is reading the usb files in this mode. But I can't see anything else. I am connected to my tv with the component cables. Can someone guide me?

Re: having a few problems, please help

They are still working on some bugs in this STB. Try formating your flash stick to Fat 32. Put in your PC, go to usb drive , right ckick, select fat...

Re: having a few problems, please help

Try this. Put your Stick in the USB port on your STB, turn the unit OFF with back switch with stick still inserted. Now power back on and see if it recognizes it now...

Re: having a few problems, please help

Putting in the stick and then powering on the unit from the back did the trick. It can read the usb just fine now. All seems to be working just fine now and the menus are not freezing anymore. Thank you. I appreciate your help.

Re: having a few problems, please help

I think you have to perform the clean system file load before using the latest bin...these are the steps I used which were posted by the many helpful people on this site.

Please do the following step:
======================
(for first time only, no need to repeat if you already did)

1. Load SV360Chan.bin
2. Factory reset after SV360Chan.BIN loaded
3. Load Full Name Template.csv (or you can use your own template)
4. Do Satellite setting and Sat Scan.

======================

Note:
- Always format USB thumb drive before any update
- Do not extract file direct on to the UBS thumb drive, extract to a folder then copy to USB thumb drive.

Then perform the V0119P clean sys file update which is the .sat file you were referring to....
Please perform the follow step to clean out the system, and be able to update later fix on the way.(this will auto factory reset)

=============================
SV360 Premier_V0119P clean syst files.
=============================

For USB Port loading:

1. Load new fixed V0119P and new 360 Premier SAT FILE 06-02-08.sat SAT File onto USB device
2.Press&Hold front panel OK button, at the same time switch read switch ON, Loading Menu will display.
3.Select new sat file and load
4.After load new sat file, select latest fix and load
5.Reboot, setup and rescan

Where it refers to latest fix, you would use V0127P.rom file
