Recording SV360 to External HD

I have a 160 Gig external hard Drive & when I hook it to my SV 360PVR it does not recognise it.

What for mat must the External be in as NTSF does not work. If FAT32 how do I go about doing this or what program works best.

Re: Recording SV360 to External HD

Plug it in your PC and format it just like you would a flashstick. Go to my computer, find the external hard drive icon, right click and then format...

Re: Recording SV360 to External HD

Ok, try this. Turn the SV off with back switch. Hook up the Ex hd and then turn the SV on. See if it recognizes it this way...

Re: Recording SV360 to External HD

No Stream Drive Found!

The Stream Drive Should be a DOS File System

* works with a 4gig USB Pen Key *

Re: Recording SV360 to External HD

All fixed up, I used Paragon Partition Manager Pro to convert the 160 Gig to FAT32.

Thx for all input

Re: Recording SV360 to External HD

That was going to be my suggestion. I have had several STB that would not recognize certain drives. The program you used always does the trick.

I am very interested in how this box works as a PVR. Are they any problems at all such as the 2.1gb file limit on the CNX mini? Any record glitches at all?
