Clearing our channels

How do you get rid of channels for satelites that you are no longer receiving??

I use to have the dish pointed to echo 8, but have now switched over to echo 7.

I did a factory clean file (not the factory reset on the menu), but all of my presets were still there. Including all of the echo 8 channels that I can no longer get.

I thought the clean file wiped all of that out........

I am having trouble getting any chanel guide info on echo 7.

Any haelp would be appreciated.

Do your factory default and start from scratch including scanning in your sats and chan. As for your epg
there are several chan that you can use to populate epg.
I belive there is a list in general info section.

By factory default, do you mean the one in the menu system, or the clean file from June that I downloaded from here?

Do I scan echo 8 even if I do not have a signal from it?? Will it then find nothing, thus removing those channels?

Sorry for the dumb questions, but I'm newer than new at this.......

Yes, the one in the menue system. Then start from scratch reloading factory bin and most rescent bin when you scan sats
just leave 8 out if you dont have a signal and scan the rest.
