Switch problem?
My set up: SV 360 Premier, DP plus dual lnb, 4x1 diescq switch. I have the 2 feeds connected to lnb3 and lnb4. I did a factory reset and loaded the 119 cleaner and 149. When I scanned the sats I did Echo 7 1st: OCS DP, 11250, 12224 TP, Port 4 (the only port with signal strength; 99/97). I scanned the bird and acquired channels. I then went to Echo 8,10: OCS DP, 11250, 1224 TP and here is where the problem is...I assumed I would be using Port 3 but there was no signal strength there. However Port 4 was at 99/97. I can't use the same Port for both birds, can I? Thanks in advance for any help.

Re: Switch problem?
Hello Mojo Welcome to ABAdss.
If your LNB is DP plus, you don't need a switch.Because the DP plus has a Built-in switch on it. Just connect the cable from LNB straight to receiver. And put the 110W to port 2 and 119 to port 1. Good Luck.

Re: Switch problem?
Why use the switch if you are trying to get 119/110? Just run one of the 2 cables from the DPPlus straight to the receiver, you can turn the disceq1.0 off, if that shuts your picture down then use a port # that works

Re: Switch problem?
Do as cdo says. all you will need to do is define the diseq ports. It is a little confusing because you are not actually using a diseq switch. Doing it this way enables the STB to distinguish the different sats through th diseq settings...

Re: Switch problem?
Thanks for the quick responses. I'm still confused though. I'm switching over from a Coolsat system that was installed by a pro. There are 2 cables coming from the lnb which previously went to a Videopath Multi-Dish Switch. One cable went into 'dish 1' the other into 'dish 2' and then there was a single out feed to my reciever. When I 1st set up my SV360 I kept that switch in place but I wasn't getting any signal strength (of course I may have had the settings wrong in my receiver) so I replaced the Videopath with the Diescq which came with the SV360. If I completely eliminate any switches I'm still left with 2 cables from my lnb and one cable to my receiver. Can I just couple one of of the lnb cables with the one to my receiver? Thanks again.

Re: Switch problem?
You will only need one cable from your LNB to your STB. then set the diseq settings as we mentioned. Set your lnb type to OCS-DP. If you had a dual tuner STB, then you would need both cables, one for each tuner. hope this helps Buddy...

Re: Switch problem?
yes you can get an adapter to connect the cable from lnb to the cable from the 360 if you don't have a cable long enough

Re: Switch problem?
If you have that lnb you have to put standar in your settings and you have to setup sw42 read my sticky in the 360 elite section also if you get good signal you will get no channels after the scan, for 110/119 you don't need any switch just plug your cable in tuner1 and use tuner2 for another sat like 129 or nimiq 1.3
