Repairing a frozen SV 360 Premier

Re: Attention all sonicview users
Well I fixed the receiver. I used the controls on the box to load the factory file(105) 5 times , all on top of each other. Then I did the same to load the new file(149) next. Then I setup, rescanned my channels and that did it.
I have to confess that a minimum of 3 loads and as many as 7 has fixed many frozen receivers. I think it is Speedy that may be on to this trick. Always remember it, especially with receivers that you can control without the remote.

Re: Repairing a frozen SV 360 Premier

I cannot even begin to imagine what happened on the fifth load attempt that did not happen on the first four. But congratulations and a huge huzzah for your determination!

Re: Repairing a frozen SV 360 Premier

Was this due to the south america file you loaded basscat?

Hey Dude, I have found that on my Neosat, i occasionally had to load a new file 3x to get to work right. I remember the old boards we use to put in the C-band receivers, we sometimes loaded the numbers 4 or 5 times before we got them to work. So it don't hurt to try if something just ain't going right

Re: Repairing a frozen SV 360 Premier

Indeed. I never argue with success. But I honestly don't think it would have even occurred to me to try it.

This is an old thread, and will likely not be monitored closely.

Latest BIN for the Premier will always be here:

SV 360 Premier Downloads - ABA DSS - Free to Air Satellite TV Community

But you will need to upgrade to VIP status to enable the download. Absolutely worth every cent, and more.

Welcome to ABB!
