surround sound

SV-360 Pr. - Denon Reciever - Cannot get surround sound to work off my 360Pr. Need Help either wiring or setting up SV-360Pr. Looked at manual and refers to a S/PDIF. Cannot fiqure what kind of cable I would need if this is the problem?

S/PDIF refers to the "Sony/Philips Digital Interface Format". It is just the name for the "standard" connector typically used to connect high-end audio -- in North America I think it is more commonly referred to as the TOSLINK connector. Pretty distinctive since it is square on the outside and round on the inside.

In order to make it fully functional, you will need to select the "Dolby" option in the audio choices in the 360's main menu. After that, it should automatically detect premium audio whenever available from the stream and funnel it to your Denon.

Let us know how it sounds -- I have a 360 but don't have the super audio gear.....

Did not work. Only cut out audio on some channels others remained the same. Where can I purchase yhis special cable?

The "Dolby" audio option choice only works correctly if the 360 is connected to audio via the digital (S/PDIF) connector -- it must be turned off if you are using the red/white RCA audio jacks.
