What is normal for Ihub?
I just got an Ihub to add to my SV 360 Premier.
What is normal downtime? When I first hooked it up on Thursday the 5th it worked pretty good. But It hasn't worked at all from Friday morning til now.
I have seen some posts for other STB's about the server being down or up. Is that how Ihub works also? If so, is there a way to see if the server is up or down?
Thanks!

Server goes up and down periodically.
in a command prompt on your PC type:
telnet svftaiks.com 1920
if it jumps to a blank screen the server is up. if the server is down connection will fail.

AND.... just becaue the server is showing UP, doesn't mean your SV/Ihub is UP too, and that's the unfortunate thing about the SV/Ihub, you never can tell.

Re: What is normal for Ihub?
Unfortunately, for many, the SViHub has been a disappointment thus far.
Rushed to market without enough testing in my opinion, although perhaps with the new server and the 1.8 file, some good may come from it yet (1.8 is now being tested by a select few).
So its a wait and see thing.

Re: What is normal for Ihub?
Hello tigercopper, for the last few months there hasn't anything normal about the i-hub. I know they are working on it because a few channels opened up yesterday.
Here are the two links I check every day.
Sonicview iHub | Currently Available Channels This tells you which channels are currently opened. (It's accurate for the most part) And this one
Server Status Checker lets you see if the server is up. The I-hub will cause you to want to throw the remote at the TV, but I really think they are trying to fix the problems.

I truely believe its going to be awhile before they get anything right, hope that isn't true but I have been with them for awhile, well right up until a few weeks ago and had to make a change and happy I did. I hope things work out for everyone.

i agree but cant really understand whats taking so long.....CNX started their IKS after sonicview i believe, and theirs is running great.....most channels up on both providers.....
it almost seems like something strange or fishy is going on with sonicview.....cutting back channels and dropping a provider completely just doesnt really make sense.....maybe DN is running the SV server now.....
