You may or may not be right. This is not a confirmed fact so it belongs in the rumor section.

The Coolsats are great FTA units. What size is your dish?

Re: Coolsat 7000 GAME OVER
Settle down Supa, think of all the $ you saved while your box was up. I remember watching Dave wide open! Oh the good old day's. Drilling out the bottom of 2700's and J tagging and Rom cards LOL!
In the mean time get an Nfusion or other cardsharing box.
PS, if anyone want's a good deal on a few 2700 & 3100's with holes in the bottom PM me! lol

Come on now EZ! Many went though the J tagging but no drilling needed on a 3900. Yes there were things that needed to be done to the old Dave stuff to but let me get back to the Cooools.
Lets continue down the nostalgia trip and remember when every dog in the pond was swimming with great bins while the 4,5,6 & 7000's were patiently waiting??? Remember if anyone squawked over at the nor.... site how they got banned???? Remember why people were squawking.... of course you do remember how as I stated every dog was up but the Coools!
Remember here how the Coools got bashed by their owners over not having bins??? Now of course if you have a memory lapse, visit the older posts that go back almost 2 years of solid squawking. Yeah, yeah.... there were those kissing (a special part of the anatonomy) who thought by telling the world how great Coools operated that an elf would arrive to announce "A NEW BIN BY TOMMOROW!!!"
EZ, you appear to be too intelligent so I know you would never have purchased a Coool after they poked it up (more anatomy stuff) of their reliable followers!

Re: Coolsat 7000 GAME OVER
treelover I feel for you and your Cool bretheren, but I am not sure what to say?
FTA testing is a hobby and we get a return on investment in 6wks approx.. When up.
What frustrates me is after Bev went N3 and Nfusion was the only reliable STB for Bev most of the people on this forum were recommending their old standby's when asked for advice by newbies.
A lot of my recent post's have been warning newbies about N3 and implications. Still many were doling out misguided advice.
Take Care

Re: Coolsat 7000 GAME OVER
EZ--- did I miss something in your earlier post? I thought you were defending the Coools in responding to SupaNova's post. I feel it is important that the Coool's reputation represent their performance history and has nothing to do with purchase payback. That was the only point in my response.
SupaNova's post should also remind others of the anguish Coool owners contended with during the period. The Coools deserve no defense from anyone.

Re: Coolsat 7000 GAME OVER
I think many STB's will lag in support till Nag 3 is compromised. Until we get something solid to go on. lets just hope for the best...

except for those of us using the coools for true FTA, in this case they currently are, and always have been an excellent, and one of the best receivers on the market
