Captiveworks solution
Here's a good one...
In a couple of weeks Captiveworks will have out a different kind of dongle for Key Sharing. Doesn't require an IP address. Doesn't connect to the internet.
Connects to serial port so will work on all models. Other end of dongle connects to an LNB you point at sat. Keys download from sat transponder rather than the internet. Untraceable!
Here's a picture of one used overseas:

aaahh yes love rumors

Re: Captiveworks solution
(sks...satellite key sharing) sounds like something cool to test out. it will really appeal to people who are weary of the whole ip issue being connected to the net. hope they go through w/ it.
if they do, it will be dish #5 going up in the backyard, neighbors will love me

Re: Captiveworks solution
My thoughts on this.......CW coders are really going to buy satellite time continuously in order transmit the data????? Sounds like an expensive proposition to me..

Re: Captiveworks solution
and if they do i wonder if they will be broadcast on a circular sat or linear sat...i cant see dn/b3v leasing a transponder to send keys to decrypt their signal. you might see sales on a combo dongle/linear lnb/dish setup.
