nFusion losing coders? <Rumor>
I have been reading on some of the other sites that NFusion has lost coders and they are are having inhouse problems.I am not trying to start any rumors, I own a Phoenix but a bunch of my friends are asking me what I think about it. I like the unit but would not want to steer anyone in the wrong direction, any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Trouble Ahead??
For now, I think this might be better suited to the FTA Rumor Mill section.

Your info is great, just thought we'd better put it into the appropriate section, until something is more solid with respect to this topic.
Thanks for posting

Re: nFusion losing coders? <Rumor>
Something has got to be wrong... Other receivers adding channels, even though they are constantly working on the server. However the so called Kings of IKS only has a handful channels.
Probably "securing the server" is a way to buy more time??? Its like me building a house and 1yr after I have moved in i will install doors & windows to keep out people.

Very nice find. They could be something behind this. I mean they are supposed to bethe king of IKS and they are along wy behind. I think they know they screwed up with not supporting the Nova, I think that is why they pulled the enthernet board, I could be wrong about that. Why would you support the Nova on BEV and not DN. B/C they can make real good money in the US on the enthernet boards. More than they would make anywhere else. Dont get me wrong they do a real good job in what they do. I know it is hard work or we would all be doing it. So I think they know they made a mistake and are trying to find a way to fix it. I know this is testing and when you buy a box it could not be supported tomorrow. Doesn't matter if we use them for what they are made for. I have been in this since the F cards. But the thing about now is if the people that makes the FTA receivers dont take care of the people using them then they can go to someone else to buy there receiver. So I think that they are trying to find a way to patch all of there mistakes up and get back to business....

Re: nFusion losing coders? <Rumor>
Either way, Nfusion has done a good job staying in the "FTA News".....
Good or bad, Nfusion is being talked about by everyone these days, it is just a shame the way they have allowed a good thing to go bad so fast.
IMO there is definitely something going on with them. The decisions they are making are impacting sales surely, not to mention they have fallen behind teams that are fresh in the IKS game.
The king has fallen.
Oh yeah, I almost forgot..... Nfusion has already gone through an N3 transition with B3V, they should be miles ahead of the new guys in town. But uhhh, where are they? Right they are busy locking out nova users, jacking prices, pulling products and trying to bully people into a new STB.

Re: nFusion losing coders? <Rumor>
I agree Lonster , something has to be going on.I do understand when new models of recievers come out , the older ones lose support eventually. However just about every authorized nfusion dealer is still selling the novas , that is just wrong. Then as you pointed out they haven't been adding any channels and if it is a card share which most believe it is why , simply because they aren't spending the money for the channel packages. It truly is sad to see the leader of the pack in the IKS game go down like this. One thing is for certain something smells rotten in nfusion land and the silence from them is deafening.

That is what gets me the most, they are still selling the nova at some places, some people have not had one long at all.
Yup I understand that support dies, Captain 8000 was my first box, and well in a couple months they had forced me to move on or pony up more cash for the dongle that fizzled out pretty fast also....

I expect to get 4-5 years out of a product from when I buy it. Not from when they release it.

Yeah not to jump off topic too much but I hated losing my captain more than the nfusion , man I loved that 7100.I bought the dongle as well but only used it a couple of times. That is why I waited so long before I made another dongle purchase.I just ordered a kbox prodigy even though I am not fond of my past experiences with dongles , I am less optimistic over the new nfusion and their services.Oh well only time will tell.

Re: nFusion losing coders? <Rumor>
Hanging the Nova out to dry (if that is/becomes the final decision) ... is basically a crappy way to treat those who supported the product early on. While progress marches forward why alienate your most loyal customers ... it totally sucks.
Many have been steadfast supporters of the nFusion units from the get-go.
While business might be business, I say it sucks, if that is in fact the final decision.
As the steadfast leader in IKS, this is a very narrow course of action, one that will cost nFusion BIG if they don't wake up and smell the coffee.
One false step, will prove HUGE for any other mfg. ready to step up.

Re: nFusion losing coders? <Rumor>
I am new to this hobby as well and I have seen plenty of NFUSION bashing on many sites. I am sure the people who do the work on projects such as these read. I have only gotten a few days of PPV and such and have been satisfied so far. It helps to have a valid subscription as a backup until these seas have settle. But lets give the nfusion team the info and room to improve and hopefully they will see our need, after all we are the ones who supported them with the purchase.
