I cant argue, but I will ask this.

Why would the owners of the site continue to pay for hosting and bandwidth if VS is done? Hosting sites is not free, and believe me, a very small percentage of people actually click ads or donate so I truly do not believe they keep the homepage up to make money.

What is happening with VS is anyone's guess, but that's all anyone can really do unless you are in VS management or a lawyer representing them.

You are allowed to think what you want, but I'm still holding hope that the coders can do their job. VS is big business and IMHO, they don't just roll over and bark like dogs. That is only my opinion. Take it or leave it as you seem fit.

ha i never get frustrated why i have a sub and a motorized set up no matter what we will have to wait none of these guys will come out and tell us .. well i like to think that a company is not done until i see the court papers saying they owe 20 million and they can never touch recievers again

and guess what last time viewsat was hacked on like this for 4 months and then they shut down there site like this time and they release a while after that and i was watching tv ..

so everything you are saying here i can say you don't know

they did this on n2 and then 4 months later i was watching tv on my viewsat

so i say wait before you do the doom and gloom posts

i find it quite amazing that people with under 10 posts and very recent join dates, (i've noticed this on many different forums) are proclaiming vs to be dead. this looks like a huge misinformation campaign by a competing stb manufacturer or by charlie himself. i've been in to sat tv since the early days of the buds and never have i seen so many posts by noobs making such ugly accusations. i regularly check out about 25 different sites a day and that's what i've noticed, lots of low "post counts" bashing vs. if vs is dead, so be it, they had a good run and so did we, it's not a big deal. if they come back, there will be a crapload of happy people. take this for what it's worth, it's just my opinion.

N3 in Europe over 1 yser
and
N3 in USA over 20 or 30 week's

Remember VS use to say we have a fix just whiting for DN to go to N3 and now it's on N3
now you can sey that VS is never coming back

I got information from not just dealer but distributor that....
..... Viewsat is in the process of warping up & closing it's business (filing bankruptcy).

Too bad for current owners, if you are looking for pure FTA, wait month or so... you will find dealers getting rid of VS FTA @ half the price like Neosat.

This is very much a confirmed news, Viewsat is delaying the news so they could sell as many as possible to get rid of their inventory w/o loss. Well that explains why no IKS ever came out. I will give it till christmas before they go public with this.

I am very confident about the source, anyway all non-belivers, wait till december & you will have to thank me for posting this.

ViewTech has recently learned that Echostar and Nagrastar have filed a Complaint in a California Federal District Court against ViewTech and Mr. Jung Kwak.

ViewTech and Mr. Kwak intend to vigorously defend against the baseless claims made by Echostar and Nagrastar. ViewTech and Mr. Kwak have already retained experienced litigation counsel to help them fight these baseless accusations.

It has also been brought to the attention of ViewTech that some of its competitors have been improperly making contact with ViewTech’s distributors, dealers and customers, and maliciously conveying false information to them.

They have falsely stated that ViewTech’s distributors, dealers and customers are on some sort of list of alleged infringers of supposedly copyrighted materials, and that they may be liable or named in a lawsuit filed against ViewTech. They have also demanded that ViewTech’s distributors, dealers and customers place a disclaimer on their respective websites disavowing ViewTech and its products.

Let’s be absolutely clear — only ViewTech and Mr. Kwak have been named as potential defendants.
None of ViewTech’s distributors, dealers or customers are named or even identified in the allegations of the Complaint, or on any other list. The Federal Court has not been asked, nor has it given any interim relief whatsoever to either Echostar or Nagrastar. ViewTech and Mr. Kwak are confident that they will prevail as
the lawsuit proceeds, and they will keep all of you informed of any significant developments in the future.

as it says in the red scare tactics pamsat was charged almost 2 years ago and nothing has come of that coolsat got fried but until i see a they are done in a court document they are free to carry on buisness.. i do agree there is probably dist that are dropping them as they are afraid of being included in a suite .. but until i see a a court saying guilty then it is a rumour

this is a time you wll see every runour there is ..

and if they are done rfeally no big deal to me there are hundreds of other companies that will take over if it be cardless or iks solutons

You have to keep in mind thes is a hobbie just like any other.So dont put your life on hold just for this. I beleave that vs will get something togather but whos knows when. Only time can tell. Just keep in mind the word rumers is what you see at this time. In other words dont let them get to you.

For those that are waiting for VS for a stand alone, imo this may not happen. Thats not to say another stb will not step in....To much money involved to think that won't happen.
The real big difference between n2 and now n3 is the popularity and the heat that comes with it. Most of you are aware of the busts and legal issues amongst the manufacturers and coders.
I would think this time around both coders and manufacturers will be taking the greatest security measures possible if and or when a stand alone file is released.

Hopefully we all get what we want to avoid paying these money hungry providers fees.
