Don't Kill the Messenger

Will there be a Standalone Viewsat N3 Fix Released Today ? (October 22nd, 2009)
We dont think so. The consensus within the community is that once again Viewsat N3 Fix rumours have taken over despite common sense. Some highly acclaimed sites within the underground FTA community are hinting at a standalone fix for the popular Viewsat line this week. Now, we could be dead wrong, but we doubt it seriously. There has been virtually no movement in the standalone fix arena for Nagravision 3. Usually, plastic based solutions would be the first to see any progress. Some work is being done in regards to emulating new cards on the old, but have so far been proven to work only with card sharing which is very much like IKS and is by no means standalone. However, every once in a while we get suprised by the hard work of others. We will let you know on the FTA Toolbar alert system if there is any new standalone Viewsat N3 fix or files for Dish or Bev working for Nagravision 3 encrypted content should something come up and be confirmed to work. Still, we think getting your hopes up on a Viewsat N3 fix that works in October of 2009 will do little more than crush your hopes and dreams.
Viewsat spokespersons have already come out saying the rumours of an N3 fix for Viewsat are false. However, with the recent legal actions against Viewsat for pursuing such a fix it is doubtful it would come from anyone having a direct relationship with Viewsat. Since the switch to Nagravision 3, the original team suporting Viewsat declared they would never seek a Viewsat IKS solution and pursue only a standalone fix. With all the hype regarding a rumoured release this time around, many Viewsat owners will hopefully learn once and for all that Nagravision 3 is a tough one to crack, and no fixes are likely anytime soon. As for sites that declare undoubtedly that there will be a fix, we say, "Same on you!"

Re: Don't Kill the Messenger
Not to be a naysayer ... but there will not be a N3 standalone fix issued today. And trust me, I'll be the first to eat my words if it does happen, but its simply NOT going to happen.

I think the best receiver out there when in proper running condition is the SV8000.
When we had the standalone files this baby was the best for many months on end and nothing could touch it, by far the best picture clarity

I wouldn't say that. Remember this is just a copy from another site. They can pretty much say anything they want. This is just a "wait and see" situation. That's what I am doing. Just waiting to see what unfolds.

I'm not sure it is just the hope of a Viewsat fix. I'm sure you could quickly sell a fully loaded Nfusion HD for $400.00 cdn.

Re: Don't Kill the Messenger
don't kill the messenger! kill the guys who give false hope. supposedly a few months ago, site was down. it was being hijack. perhaps it's them again? i wouldn't hope for a fix for a few months. also dish wouldn't hire the best hacker who were supporting the fta industry for no reason if he can't secure their network!

Re: Don't Kill the Messenger
There won't be to day or tomorrow ther won't be a FIX not until the things settle down with Charlie.
Let us say for a second that a FIX poped up tomorrow, I don't think that any reputable SITE will want to be the first one to POST! why take the risk to be sued by Charlie or prosecuted by Law Enforcment Agencies???
I as an Administrative Person would wait until some other sites posts the Fix...than I would post on my site! After all we have been waiting so long ..what is another few hours...:-)
