Ok i am dead for now. No hope for watching tv through VS, but You mention for internet. Please let me know if You have knowledge of free internet tv. I mean realy not "those" which are saying "free" than asking to pay in advance without chance You to see if it will work. I am willing to pay and subscibe to internet tv to have a chance to watch sport( Europian ,basket ball, hockey etc).
Anyone please respond with info.

We represent Viewtech in the pending litigation with Echostar/Dish Network. Recently, there has been a lot of false and malicious misinformation published on the internet about Viewtech and the case, and we want to make certain that any interested person knows the truth.

At a settlement hearing held last week, the case did not settle. Viewtech will now continue to vigorously defend against Echostar's claims, and pursue its counterclaims against Echostar. Viewtech will remain the market leader in FTA- receiver products and will honor its long-standing commitments to support, service and upgrade its product lines.

The Court has recently entered a temporary order which merely requires Viewtech to catalog customer identification information solely for those relatively few receivers which contain third-party software and are physically returned to Viewtech for repair. The Court has not been asked, nor has it ordered this information to be disclosed to Echostar or any other party. The Court order does not apply at all to Viewtech receivers that contain only Viewtech factory-installed software. Viewtech takes the privacy of our customers seriously and will vigorously oppose any effort to reveal this or any other customer identification information to EchoStar.

We will periodically provide updated information regarding this case to make certain that the Viewtech FTA community is informed, rather than swayed by false and misleading information put out by others who are hostile to Viewtech.

my friend str 2000 some people that are new to best site here doesn,t mean that they just started testing i for one been testing for almost 3 and half years and only after n3 hit learn about the true fta channels and because some people are new here doesn,t mean they don,t know anything i followed viewsat for awhile and read everything on other sites too it doesn,t take a genious to know the the viewsat is in you just imagine if they would release the n3 file guns they would give charlie in court,like i say is not going to happen if they release the file first that i doubt i,ll apolagize to everybody and eat the words watch and see in a couple of months i doubt that they are going to throw any more fire in trouble they are already in hope i,m wrong but time will say who,s right is just my thinking and think and second that viewsat is done and don,t think viewsat will release anything,thanks and godbless,hope i didn,t offend anybody by saying that there done but is the honest truth.

Yep, the propaganda is over now. N3 will be hacked someday, but those that are counting on it now need to move on if they have any intention of watching anything other than true FTA. I knew that the court date was the 23th, I was wondering how it went.. apparently they haven't sentenced them yet.. that's why I doubted the 22nd fix release date.. if this doesn't put them out of business I will be surprised..

all it says is they plead guilty. i read the whole article and if its true all it means is the judge will render a decision in january of next year. we are in october. in the meantime mister kwang can continue doing business as normal unless their is some kind injunction preventing him from making a living in the meantime. if there is no injunction he can do what he wants for now.

I seriously doubt they will be getting anywhere near anything associated with satelite tv from now until then. All we can do now is wait to see if another vs distributor opens up to continue support in north america.

Shut down all business operations, may have been part of their plea deal

This really isn't that big of a deal. It's like what would happen if Wally-World shut down? Would you no longer be able to purchase cheap jeans or generic soda? Nope. It only means there's an opportunity for someone else to swoop in and pickup that product and sell it themselves.

There's no reason for this to have any effect on N3, or the sales of VS.

This simply don't address the potential resolution for the evil of N3 for other recievers tho or even VS for that matter cuz alternate resources/avenues may be available to accomplish the goals..for the FTA community??
Potentially there is still that remote chance that the resolution to this N3 MAY BE-MAY BE forthcoming sometime in the future if NOT near future....BUT true FTA continues to entertain folks that tune in to the true FTA...that's what the recievers are sold for...alternatively...enjoy your sub..gud day everyday ppl...stay tunes there will be another Oct 22nd 2010-2011-2012......

It isn`t over for Viewsat yet. That court fine is just a piss in the bucket for those guys. I know for a fact that N3 has been broken. Its all about the money now. Those people the think Viewsat is done will eat their words.

How true that is!!!! But I really agree with just4ufolks on the MAY BE-MAY BE forthcoming sometime in the future if NOT near future... On the most part, But I do not think the near future. I am fairly new here myself but did plastic for years and N3 is going to be ALOT HARDER than any previous encryption, But no matter how smart they think they are someone will come along that WILL be smarter.. It will just take TIME........Just my 2cents..... Take care all.....
