I don't think information regarding ihub version 1.8 was meant to be made public. I found the conversation in Vietnamese on an obscure forum where one of the moderators has some connection to the system. It is still being denied by most FTA sites, but luckily we have some great MODS on AbaDSS that were able to take a leap and confirm the information.
I'm sure there is a lot of "behind the scenes" stuff going on where select MODS are in the know, but have to be tight-lipped about certain things.

Re: Ihub 1.8 undergoing testing to select few...
I posted a request to participate in the testing. Here's the answer I got.
"Unfortunately, the expiration of his own is 2 pm and then sent Ihub serial number. We do not know in the future they have not for more but if so, you will let you know. You can use it and its 1. 4 Ihub confident in a recent period, their share for the 1. 8 Ihub public.
Wish you happy."
I also posted a request on another site about the truth of a 1.8 Ihub, the post was deleted before it hit the forum and no warning was issued. STRANGE.

I don't think its a way of selling more, something had to be done and now they are doing it. Sonicview has had a hard time of this iks thing and instead of putting it out there so people can shoot it down before its had a chance I think they are trying to perfect it so when it does come out people will have to bite their tongue. Although some will only bite their tongues when a standalone comes which will end iks, and than iks will plumet big time, than the choice will come of what receiver to buy, one things for sure it wont be strickly iks

Re: Ihub 1.8 undergoing testing to select few...
That was the Google Translation of what he responded to me with.
I had asked in Vietnamese if I could participate in the 1.8 testing.

So far you can't say that about SV (maybe later if 1.8 works)...but aren't your forgetting about CNX & iLink?
I hear iLink has PPVS up?

Oh - sorry - I meant with HD boxes. I wish there were more receiver choices for high-def.

Problem is that with an IKS system a test group of 20 proves little. Most of the IKS systems work well until the loading gets high on the servers. Neosats various versions and test groups are a case in point. Always worked great with the test groups but freezing became high as soon as the servers were stressed. It enabled them to sell boxes for a long time however on a system that never worked very well according to most in the know.

Re: Ihub 1.8 undergoing testing to select few...
You are exactly right ragingbull, the SV suffered the exact same fate on the last UFC fight, it worked great for a couple days, but as soon as it was fight time and people tuned in it was a nightmare.....
1.8 working or not, being tested or not, it is far too late for SV and the I-slug now, the only reason it did work for a couple days is because no one really uses it anymore.... SV's redemption should have came 2 months ago to hold their share of the market. BTW the freezing on the i-hub was pretty bad today.
I moved on, and I hope no one else wastes their money on an iHub until they have it working for the masses, not a "select few".

Re: Ihub 1.8 undergoing testing to select few...
I don't think they should say anything about the 1.8, typing and releasing is altogether different, I can't or won't down sv but I have moved on with alot of money invested in the group but with what I have now I am more then pleased. This may be just another rumor who knows but I guess time will tell. They hurt me bad let me tell you, believe me i'm far from a baby but I knew when it was time to move on. Even if they do release 1.8 lets see how stable it is when you have so many members adding on to it. No sir i'm staying where I am for now and thats with cnx, nf, and the k box.
