captain support?
saw this on another site...Is this true or just crap?
Captain Owners,
We are sorry to inform you that C-Force Group is ceasing to support any Captain products and has been dissolved. We appoligize for any inconvenience this may cause Captain owners. The reason for this action is the irreconcilable differences that exist in the methods and business practices of Captain Inc. Team Reliable will be retaining all of the former C-Force members for added support on the ExtremeView Line of products.
Please do not try to contact us as this will be our final post and any other message posted under the name C-Force or C-Force Group will be a forgery.
A WARNING:
Any future Captain file releases may cause irrepairable damage to your Captain product.
Thanks,
C-Force Group

Re: captain support?
C/P
I believe C-Force & C-Force Group have made it very clear from their side; they are no longer part of the Captain & Crew team.
As for the only other party involved; Captain Inc. - all you can do is to ask them directly (phone - fax - email - visit) where you can get support, now that it's not available here.
C/P
Dear Readers:
This is Aleenoo. I have always been the moderator between Captain Inc. and C-Force Group. I have direct contact with both parties. I would like to assure everyone that the reason C-Force have decided to cut off ties with Captain Inc. is certainly not due to any "business practices" by Captain Inc. I am in the middle and I do not want to take sides. Lets not poing fingers and just say: it didn't work out between them. Captain or C-Force are not the first support group/receiver company to break up and will certainly not be the last.
I wanted to be fair and also give you Captain Inc's comments on this. I spoke to the CEO of Captain Inc. and he told me the following:
"...You can check on the forums and you will see that the current Captain 7000 and 8000HD are working fine. There will always be support for Captain STBs in the future whether it will be from C-Force or any other support group. We have invested and will continue to heavily invest in the success of Captain and I assure everyone that we are here to stay."
Thank you everyone for your continued support and patience.
Best Regards

Re: captain support?
yeah thats OLD.C-Force Group hasn't been coders for captains for a long time now.
team captain has stepped up support since back then, and they have been doing very well.far superior than the old coding team used to do for them.

Correct me if I am wrong but this happened back even before the release of the 7100USB .Team Captain has been supporting the captain line for a while now and all is fine.To be honest the Captain support is better now than it ever was.No reciever was ever damaged by the loss of C-Force Group to my knowledge but it did take a short while for the new coding team to take over from where c-force left them.Always remember one thing when it comes to FTA news found on other sites , take it with a grain of salt.morebeer you are smart to ask this on abadss where you will get a straight answer.I have owned a Captain 7100USB for a while now and it is my favorite box.The Captain rocks.....

Re: captain support?
I need to agree, just after I bought my Cap the support went down for three weeks. This could be after the break up but I dont know for sure.
Reading forums here there and everywhere I saw similar stories.
Well the chit hit the fan, of course. The Captain support fired up with a vengance and ever since has been strong. I mean they gave owners the opportunity for IKS.
They still offer bins as they always did while offering IKS.
As we all know coders drop boxes and move on to greener pastures if needed.
Just my 2 cents.

Thanks morebeer. ABA is the best, and like most of us you don't really need any other site. ABA has it all for FTA.
