Because if you did you'd understand that I have 2 other boxes and cable tv so you can save your advice and childish 'who do I think I am', what are we in High School and I'm getting a lecture here?...In my post I never stated anyone owed me anything and only the misinformed and delusional would say that this box is working fine given its recent history.

Your position is use it as an FTA box huh...then why post files for bins or even test them? You imply that by doing otherwise is somehow not what these boxes are intended for and thus would be illegal...but hey in OZ there must great reception for FTA, Charlie and BEV without coders because of the tin man standing on the scarecrow, I guess you're the lion and haven't gotten that courage eh because you can blast and pass on advice without knowing much?

Oh and so you know NO ONE walked into a store with intentions of pure FTA, we all know how they are used, so you can save that righteous I think garbage for someone else. And as soon as I slapped money on this box the manufacturer got paid then most likely the coders...but hey this ain't a business and I am whining because I don't have a bin and my other 2 boxes and cable TV just aren't enough right now...
Oh and by the way when you get back from OZ take some time to do you home work, you'll realize that I never said anyone owed me anything nor the world. I do however have the right to voice my opinion on a box that lacks support that I do own. So when shall I sign you up for little league pal?

easy guys.don't let some poorly supported for stb come between us.
sell 'em and move on.count your loses-if you really have any,and grab something else you like.
the ipro honestly is worth its $ for true fta alone.tho is lacks blind scan which sucks for fta stbs.it has a "real" pip mode.great for channels surfing where there is no epg.
3rd party support is poor.if it changes,so be it.but lately its been poor.
there are many others with good 3rd party support.so best to move on if you wish for better.

Arb I do my best to bite my tongue and stay on point but when someone blatantly throws out an attack without reading any of my other posts or even trying to be considerate in their response / advice well...that is what happens. I can take critisism when it is warranted in this case it wasn't IMHO.

yes, i do....

my personal use has nothing to do with the topic at hand.....but since you asked so politely, i will answer your question.....

i have a motorized c-band dish, and a motorized 36 inch dish.....i use factory software in my recievers.....just the way they are intended to be used.....over 4,000 channels that are up 24/7.....

if i ever turn on my satellite TV and its "not working", then its my own problem and i go outside to fix it.....i dont have to sit around and wait for a complete stranger to provide a BIN so i can watch TV.....i can take care of things by myself.....

i wouldnt use my stove to heat my house.....and i wouldnt cook my food in my furnace.....every product has an intended purpose.....and the intended purpose for your reciever is to recieve FTA channels.....just like it says on your recievers box.....

the ipro doesn't even have blind scan though buddy.
you really would need 2 stbs to make full use of it.one to blind scan,and then transfer your list over to the ipro.
its worth it for her true pip feature.tho its allot of work,and not often done.
they never did fix the scans sticking with diseqc 1.2 motor controls either.
its a hassle to use for anything besides known tps on fta birds.

imho,your much further ahead with say a icon s550-a great blind scanner,or older pansat/coolsat or the like.
its a good "secondary" unit.
it could have been much more.but its clear software development never was.and basic ecm support for 3rd party is a constant struggle.
i wouldn't spend much on this stb anymore.its not like it was,and people should know.

i think most people who are upset,,is because of the way it is advertised,, when they came out,,i tried to purchase one,,because of how the people at neosat marketed it,,but at that time,,it was temp out of stock,,i saw the advantages it claimed to have,,but since it wasnt available,i went with the nova,, i knew very lil about each box,,but after reading what was in the advertisement,,i wanted the Ipro,, so i can see y people are upset,,,and personally i dont blame them for it,,

Bill of OZ I apologize if you truly intended that post for someone else, I don't believe that I make outlandish claims or bogus lopsided post. I do play devil's advocate once in a while... But when I get put in a corner I may over react this time included. So this is now water under the bridge. The beauty of a forum we are all entitled to our opinion. Cheers!

You know most of us would suck it up, i am sure of it, and say we were had by the advertising knowing what this hobby is about ( heck i didn't know and bought one because of the talk behind it...and wait patiently because at the end of the day with the right coding this can walk in line with my nfusion HD and that thing costs $300 more...but when there's info saying this is coming or that is coming and it never comes...well that's when the frustrations kick into high gear.
Lately its like a story that keeps getting characters added to it yet the plot remains the same and you keep rereading the same page over and over, the only thing to change is the words and new characters every so often.
If they would just be honest and say hey we are stuck on...here's why it was delayed again...here's why we are not doing a cardless fix right now...people would keep quiet. But if you keep saying its coming out Monday and the time arrives then nada, no word, no email...no posting...no inside scoop... what are people supposed to do? Keeping in mind for some moving on is easier said than done i'm sure.
I dunno if it can be done but why not create an exclusive forum for neosat owners who can create an account and use the boxes first or last 6 numbers for the s/n to access it or something along those lines...that way its exclusive...and you can post what is going on there...maybe it can't be done but something has to be able to work...and allow them to keep their hardcore consumer base updated without revealing sensitive material...they can even disable copy and paste...i dunno just a thought...let me know yours

I had my neo for more than a year with it. All I can say that is great. I know the support is not that great but cant complain.. I dont regret buying another 1 more.
