neosat v2neo "promises"

Man you got to be use to waiting, with this receiver. Its been one thing after another promises, promises, promises. Vneo or what ever he is has been issuing promises for the past year. His first promise, was to make sure the pro 1000 would be up and running, never happen! The one thing everyone knows, that knows anything about fta, this is the most advanced receiver out there. I believe if some of the coders from viewsat, nfusion, captiveworks and anyone this thing could be worked out. This thing with Bev, will be card shareing, thats the only way to make bev work, no one has broken the N3, (to my knowledge). I sure love the pro2000 when its working.

Re: neosat v2neo "promises"
no promises have been issued.
this moved to the rumors section.
ETA=Estimate Time of Arrival.
not a promise of anything set in stone.not a promise that it WILL happen.
please help us keep it all straight.
the support for this stb is not the greatest.we don't want peoples hopes to be crushed because someone mistook something said and turned it into a "sure thing" to happen or "promise"
thanks buddy.
since the departure of DR.T,this coding team has its hands full.but at least we can show them respect to help keep current progress straight and accurate as possible.
twisting words doesn't help anyone.

What ever happen to Dr T? I use to take his word as gospel! I know it never has been the same since he left.

Re: neosat v2neo "promises"
he went on to other projects.
however,there appears to others involved.but i think to much info was posted to the public and therefor the current state things are in now.
people who know things other than publicly posted should try harder to keep them there.
keep your eyes on future support.it's likely not to disappoint.but for now,the transition of things is a work in progress.

They do what they can and sometimes a bit more (although some times, not so).
I understand your anxiety as I'm biting my nails too waiting for the new bin, but let's be positive and hope the support gets at par with our expectations.
My 2 cents.

actually i'm not holding my breathe i put my ipro away a month ago, i have four other stb's, i would like to get it out again because i really like the receiver, i feel sorry for the people who can't afford to buy new receivers when support drops and there has been to many promises when it comes to neosat

moved to fta rumors section.
"to many promises when it comes to neosat"
this is a rumor.there are no current nor past "promises" or any sort of "guarantee" or anything of the sort claimed.
just keeping this straight for all readers.
you need a subscription for a promise.
until there is proof you have ever been "promised" anything.these comments will be moved to the rumors section.
thanks for understanding.

Re: HIKS Update
Isn't it funny, that all the ones who keep defending this box still are immune to the facts? 5 days ago I ran across a thread and in it a post that stated a new file was coming that had BEV up through card share and it was coming today...then low and behold today an all too familiar routine stall, I heard that they all of a sudden wanted to add to the file you know because they just realized after testing that they should do something else to make it better, I mean sheer genius.
Then the defenders when shown evidence of what they said justify it by stating well I said ETA so there...so the question is why say anything at all? I mean you are sick of the whiners you say and you are blessed with the advantage of being one of the only few who test so why or better yet why not say wait and see?
I get that people are impatient but why subject yourself to that which you despise and state something you’re unsure of? I am glad no one hears leads an army regiment because well… the outcome would be catastrophic.
As for the one who say coders have it hard, I say when you are good at something things come easy not because of compensation but because you enjoy what you do it’s a passion. My regular job has me looking at numbers every second of the day for 7 to 8 hours, I get a comma wrong let alone a number and well a community faced with disaster doesn't get the relief they need and insurance doesn't pay to help them hence why the need for other endeavors in life. So if these coders take pride in their work, which I am sure they do, the chances of them intimidated by commas and numbers are slim. They have to understand that the constant stalling is only adding to the negatives with this box and will affect business soon, the damage maybe irreparable due to this economy.
If they are intimidated then they are in the wrong business. Enough excuses already, can they code? One would say no as some of the least supported boxes are up as we speak and we still don't have a carless fix. But hey a month ago I said the same thing about the coders and was told they were working on this awesome HIKS...and I should relax and give it time...so here it is the day of awakening and no fix and there will most likely be another round of coming soon and more add ins because HIKS has to be perfect before release...thing is nothing is perfect and if that’s what they are planning for disappointment will hit when they never get around to releasing that perfect HIKS.
I guess most will do what we always do laugh it off and say yeah yeah yeah and put this one in the closet. But I recommend the same and adding getting another box with support. Neosat’s end is near boys, even if they release the fix this week it will always be something facts speak for themselves.

you misunderstood something then.
please help us keep the facts and rumors straight.its very difficult moderating right now.
we want to keep everything straight for everyone.
the only estimate for an N3 file to be issued to the public according to what itaintrite had read by v2neo,is today.
there where no past estimates for public releases.
when unclear,please just ask.these misunderstandings just confuse everyone,in already an overly confusing support status.
thanks.

Re: neosat v2neo "promises"
the thread stated that it had an eta of today
e = estimated
t = time
a = arrival
key word is Estimated
this is not an exact science and no one can say anything for sure
and i'm not a staunch supporter of this box because i don't have one but i say give them time to do what they need to do and you may well be surprised with the results

well the new eta is next monday or the monday after that, or even next monday 2010
why would some know it all knowingly put out a ETA on a STB that spends most the time down, except when an ecm makes an old file work.
Dont they know this is what will happen, or is that the game incite the riot. I think a better policy than rumor mongering would be
I DONT KNOW ASK THEM!

im not quite sure who you think you are, but nobody owes you anything.....and that includes neosat, the coders, and the world in general.....
you bought this reciever as an FTA reciever.....if you use it for this purpose then i think you will find that your reciever is working perfectly fine.....
if you choose to use it for other purposes then that is your own decision and your own problem.....nobody elses.....
you are not paying money for third party support/bin files and therefore have no right to complain about them.....
if you are using third party software, then you are using that software free of charge.....the coders are doing YOU a favour and not charging you a penny for it.....
suck it up and save your whining for little league baseball......

This receiver needs a solid team behind it. It has a lot going for it.
