Re: Coincidence ... or something more?
I'm glad you mentioned PayPal. They are a Policing credit company. I guarantee that everyone who pays with paypal on any FTA site is known by the Powers that be. Why? Cause Paypal will if they haven't already given the names of everyone associated with an FTA site. Those FTA sites with the bigger Paypal payroll will be first.

That does not provide concrete evidence that crime was committed.
Whoa! B3V knows someone bought a receiver and where they live! So in other words they have given the person of interest time to reflash the box back to a normal state before they show up at the door....
Now if they also gained control of the server at the same time and are able to gain any logs of Ip transactions then its a different story.

Re: Coincidence ... or something more?
I can't speak on that lonster. All I have access to is what I have access to. Zeke wanted a little tiny taste...and I provided it. What would worry me is the quote
Quote:
|
provided with information that implicates you and others with the theft of our encrypted signal from the source named in the subject field
|
.
That eludes to the fact that they know a LITTLE more then you bought a receiver and where you live. I would be willing to bet that the guy that got raided is singing like a bird right now to save his own ašš.

OK, just picking on you because it was the first post to quote. That is a FAKE. There were 2 parts to that posted originally.
The second one was addressed from dish SI in Michigan to Washington State, They claimed damages through the radio communications act, HELLO that is our brethern to the north's law, not US law. Unfortunately I have see enough of that in that in real letters. If you are served in the US it should site the DMCA. There is a lot of stuff happening right now. I tried to post some names of busted sites earlier, but mypost was deleted because I mentioned other sites, even if abbreviated, I feel you should know the sites to avoid. That said, I leave you with a tid bit, and try to edit out sites you may visit unsuspectatly!
Here is recent news!
Monday night coincides with Suns going down. Same as SS. We were posting too much inside info publicly IMO. I am the guilty party lol IMO. SS goes down, papers served, Tuesday night, rental trucks with gee caravan arrive. Digital and all norther nfusion dealers visited.
Com*** fta, ****Canada wiped out. It is still happening as dish tries there version of black Sunday on April 1.
There is no doubt the recent discovery of rats Charles Yona, Smith (BS), Annette (FTAgal), Reck etc. Not only had an axw to grind, but also singed confidential agreements!
Provide a complete response to Interrogatory No. 9, that identifies all relationships and/or interactions between Freetech and any individual listed in Interrogatory No. 9, including Reck Shim, David Smith, and Annette Lawson, as well as all relationships and/or interactions between Freetech and any individual that has been subject to allegations of involvement in satellite piracy of which Freetech is aware. Freetech’s response shall include the dates of the relationship or interaction, the scope and purpose of the relationship or interaction, and the amount of any money or a description of any non-monetary compensation or services exchanged between Freetech and the individual(s).

Re: Coincidence ... or something more?
ok only thing wrong with this whole theory is that it is perfectly legal to sell FTA units here in Canada so if you bought an FTA unit from thsese stores you are worrying for nothing

Re: Coincidence ... or something more?
I believe the letter posted by vandal is legit I have seen it. I dont believe that they'd actually prosecute home users, thats way too expensive, If they have the right info I assume they go after dealers. Looks like a scare tactic too me.
