Re: Coincidence ... or something more?
Alright, here's the scoop from my source (who heard it from another guy, but I'll trust my guy's words :P).
Yes, their Canada store was raided, but NFusion had already moved their server the day before. And yes... they were running a card-sharing server for BEV at the store... (I know...). So BEV server should be back up sooner or later. Nothing important was confiscated as far as I know.

You are absolutely WRONG my friend. I don't know what "letter" you saw but I can guarantee it was not this one. The rest of this letter had NOTHING to do with the SI in Mi. or anything to do with Washington State. Oh wait this is the part where I'm supposed to get all mad and post the rest of the letter to prove you wrong right? WRONG!! I don't post anything and you move along. I never made a claim that the letter originated in any particular country or was aimed at an individual in any particular country.

I hate to question your guys information dude...but if you call

orders, serial numbers of units purchased, credit card information, PayPal, and Canada Postal Corporation documentation

nothing important then so be it. I also question the statement

!! So Nfusion has been lying then about their server being in a hidden cave in a jungle somewhere a top a mountain in Korea? If they were indeed running a "server" in that store then my suggestion to all my Canadian friends is to bury your Nfusion and forget you own one!! I know now I will hear but the server doesn't log any records....right and it WAS in Korea too??
I'm not trying to scare anyone here but use your heads folks. Nfusion is obviously not bullet proof like they thought.

Re: Coincidence ... or something more?
@vandal, you're assuming that everything in the letter was true and that there's no chance they (bell) are trying to scare people by saying that they have all records.
But anyway, NFusion was never completely safe even without this raid to scare everyone.

Re: Coincidence ... or something more?
yeah.easy guys.
sometimes people talk to someone who knows someone, who claims things are a certain way and trusts their info.it doesn't have to be an attack to eachother for sharing what YOU have heard and or know.
there's no reason to fight about it.

if you bought an FTA unit, and you are using it as a stand alone FTA unit, then you are correct, you have nothing to worry about.....
however, if you have connected that FTA unit to a remote server to recieve encrypted programming, then that is a whole different story and ballgame.....you have then modified your reciever with illegal third party keys/software.....
nobody is getting busted for simply selling or buying an FTA unit.....what you do with that unit is where the trouble can start.....
they obviously know alot more then you think.....because just like you said, simply selling and buying FTA units is legal.....

I apologize to this site for having a bit of a short temper.
I also apologize for the large font lol. I was trying to emphasize (as above) and guess I included all the text.
Any way here is the rest of the letter you quoted and the accompanying attachment I was referring to.

You are wrong again. That is NOT the letter I posted a sliver of. The letter I posted was dated 3-16 of this year. It was sent to an individual in Canada. That is all I am revealing. Please stop your futile attempt at guessing what letter I posted a snip it of. You are way off base. Why are you so steadfast on proving what I posted? I have had friends that received Dave letters. I have received a DMCA notice for copyright infringement and thats all I will say on that matter.....and I can assure you the DMCA letters don't mean shît. I change names quite often and will not reveal what site is my home site but I also am not a "noobie".
One thing where did your letter come from? The reason I'm asking is because certainly a multi million dollar company like Dish Network can spell cashiers?
Quote:

Now I'm not sure if you made up that letter or someone else did......buts its certainly a fake. A multi million dollar company doesn't make "typo's" when trying to "settle" a case with you! I rest my case.....
Now if you have something else CONSTRUCTIVE to add to the thread I would be glad to read it. I would appreciate it if you would stop trying to goad me into posting the rest of the contents of the letter I quoted. It's not going to happen. I am not being short tempered I am not being nasty I AM possibly being a little curt with you because I don't like being called a liar in a round about way. A lot of people have read my pots on here and if I do not know what I'm talking about on the subjust then I do not comment.
Thanks for reading FRIEND!!!

Re: Coincidence ... or something more?
Well isnt all this interesting. First of all letters sent from dish do not have single purchased stamps all dish outgoing mail is postaged prepayed. Also no one person, company entity, etc: can say hay I know you did something wrong so give me the stuff you used and this much money and we will not persue you legally, it doesnt work that way. There would have to be a class action lawsuit or other court proceedings held where the guilty party's were actually found guilty and ordered by a judge to pay just compensation. So I believe you are bs your letters are busy and you my fiend probably work for dish or b3v. So just leave us be let us enjoy our hobby which is our rite as citizens of the world (which is still a free world the last time i checked) and worry about bigger things like a nag 3 breakthrough lol

I am completely "chilled out". I am not angry in the least little bit. Like I said I don't take well being called a liar in a round about way. I offered up a way to prove the letter I posted in part was not the same letter this guy keeps trying to say it is......you chose to not take me up on my offer bigevil. Maybe zeke would like to take me up on my offer? He seems interested in this....
Zeke you have mail buddy.

Re: Coincidence ... or something more?
I found this and thought I should share, C/P'd from another site
Just so ya all know,if ya call any of the stores mentioned today, there open,,"But" no nfusions in any store, and if ya ask about nfusion, your told,we dont carry them?
the largest nfusion distributor in canada dont carry nfusions no more?
its easy to verify this, call any of the stores and ask for nfusions or if they will be getting any in
i have friends that went in to a few of these stores, and were told, they cant talk about it,they just dont carry nfusions no more
to be safe i think all people with nfusions running 150.3 and watch bev, they should flash to factory file u17 followed by u27 then load the previous 150.1
150.1 does not map to the bev server,i suggest using it till we know more, its better to be safe then sorry
this may be in the rumor section, but if anyone tried just a little to see if its true,,you will see,it more then likely is true....
takes 5 minutes to flash to factory then 150.1,i suggest doing it.
