Have a new ultra lite. Set it up and after a few set-up entries, I could get into setting up the antenna, satellites, etc. without entering a PIN number and the save option yes or no didn't come up.

Also didn't get all channels (like some of the PPV's) on an auto scan.

What is your signal and quality reading?

Maybe just start over, flash bin twice in a row, then hard reboot.

Signal and quality on the channels that have NOT been omitted are good.

What exactly is the procedure for "flashing?" What's a "hard" reboot?

There's not much tutorial for the ultra lite. I used the set-up material for the ultra when I couldn't find anything for the ultra lite.

OK,
Well, the VS Ultra is almost the same machine (I have both), the bins are different though.
IF IT WERE ME:
I would go to menu, update reciever with factory file, so you are starting from scratch.
Make sure though your antenna install has a good reading for echo7 and 8-10 (if it's DN )
Signal should be at least 70%, quality about the same. The higher the better to pick up channels in a scan though.
OK,
Re-load factory bin with USB/thumb drive-> then re-load latest bin file for your channels<---wait for that one to fully load and then repeat that file.
THEN
Hit the power switch at the back of STB and leave off for about 10/15 seconds (hard re-boot)
Go back to menu and scan channels, save and let the auto roll do its thing (could take 10 minutes), leave it on channel 200 while you are waiting.
Patience is the key when testing these boxes.
