Help, Dish 500

Ok heres the deal.

First off, I am new to this.

I am paying for dish network tv right now.

I have a dish 500 on my roof. 2 LNB's

Its setup for 2 recievers, 1 upstairs, 1 downstairs

I am having problems. Right now, I am getting I think all of the channels, but whenever I change channels, i get auto processing. I have the latest BIN and in order to get my channel to pop up, I have to turn off my reciever for like 10 seconds and turn it back on and it will start. I guess I don't have some of my settings right or something?

Also, I have to change my TP Freq. alot, because my signal bar will go down to 0

Please help!

Re: Help, Dish 500

idk about switches or anything. I have not installed anything dish network has. Im talking about it will not come on unless I turn reciever off and back on.

About being grounded?
How could it not be grounded considering the regular dish network recievers work just fine

I have changed my settings from
Echostar, 7
on
standard
11250
off
12224
none
off
none

Echostar, 10,11
on
standard
11250
off
12224
none
off
none

to these settings, which have been working a little bit better, but still having to turn it off and back on in order for it to work.

Echostar 10, 11
on
universal
11250
11200
12224
port 2
off
none

Echostar, 7
on
universal
11250
10000
12224
port 1
off
none

Re: Help, Dish 500

You can get the info about your dish setup: Port, Satellite, Device, Switch, from the Installation Summary screen of the DN receiver. Let us know these details, so we may better help.

Re: Help, Dish 500

I looked on my DN reciever, the only thing that I could find is that its a 500 twin

and I saw DP311 I think thats the receiver though.

And I got the latest bin.

I just changed my settings to the above posted. Still freezes every now in then but the best on ive tried yet. I seen that the latest bin is having problems freezing on some people until they turn it off then back on, or hit menu installation, antenna setup, exit, exit, exit..
