Hi - I Just Dumped DirecTV - WoOT
Well I just dumped the 10 month merry go round episode and in all that time never really paid them much because of all the mistakes made, I ended up getting most of my 10 months for free.
But when I finally realized after all these months what I really get for my money I dumped them, talk about a switch and bait story, what a company of mess.
So here I am now looking to take that nice DirecTV dish sitting on the roof and get me a nice reciever and start watching for free, as soon as I can figure out which one everyone tells me is the best deal for the money.

Jumping in during a uncertain time right now. Nag 3 is being implemented and there is no sure thing known right now about it. If the DTV dish you have has a tripple eye LNB, dump it. It is not worth all the hassle to set that one up. Look for a Dish 500 with DP plus LNB. After we know something more positive, I say in about a month or two, then I will tell you the best FTA STB to get. Welcome to ABA and the greatest members anywhere...

Crap I just dumped DirecTV total garbage the Family Package for $29, they don't give you anything, so I was hoping all I needed to do was just buy a receiver plug it in, run the setup in it and away I go...

I'll be honest here I need to get lucky because I don't have the time or money to get into all of this, but later I wouldn't mind learning it.
If I had Dish network install a dish 500, could I later just use a fta receiver on it and just set the receiver up and get it working, or would I also need to readjust the dish?
