greetings & need lotsa help
hey, gents. I guess this is were I intro myself to y'all. I'm pretty much the greenest newbie you've ever met. This is the first post I've ever made- can't type to save my life & have no idea about how to cary on a "chat". I've been an emergency room nurse for 'bout 35 yrs. heard about this site from sister's boyfriend when he heard me *****ing about my cable service. i read a little & went out and bought a cw ultima when i saw how nice my sis' cw 800 worked. Had some friends help me who are a bit knowledgeable about electronics and such, but, alas, I've not been able get FTA channels other than advertising for dish network. just my luck- a day late & a dollar short! but even b4 n3 my unit would lock-up & I got the same limited reception. I've learned a lot, but I just don't get it... can anybody there give me a hand, please. nursdude PS; I have dish 500, receive 148 good strong signal.

everyone here is willing to help you free

Re: greetings & need lotsa help
As of right now, most all makes of STB's are down for the count, except the STB's that are using Internet connection to a server. There is only three that are doing this as of right now, Sonicview Ihub, Nfusion IKS, and Kbox with Khub. These three are working fair, with improvements happening every day. I can't tell you how long it will be before stand alone bin files will be out, rumors say not long. Thanks for being a VIP member. Stay with us, we will continue to keep our members updated with the latest news and rumors...

Hi nursdude, welcome to our wonderful world of FTA and ABA!! Too bad that no matter what help we give you at this point you won't know if it's working because of the N3 factor. You can start reading all there is to read about your receiver, use the second link near the rose here in my post or the link that "mountaineer" put in his post for you. In this "down time" it's a great time to get use to chatting with us...you've already done the hardest, the first post!!! lol Really it will all get easier, just be patient and give yourself a chance. We are here if you need us. You have a very important job, thanks for what you do for people, that's great!!
