Completely New to FTA
I always knew it existed but never knew anything else about it. Looking to learn from u guys. Right now based on what i've gathered here I'm thinking of trying an 8000. Any ideas, help or opinions please let me know.

wow, your late to the hobby. stand alone fta is all but dead. iks is the way now and if you to get into that well i dont recommend SV and i do recommend researching it hard. it seems to be a bit risky. we all go it but look into it first. nfusion is good, k-box is good cnx is good SV is having trouble at this time.

Hello & welcome to ABAdss!
You can learn a lot from spending time here reading.
There are many receivers with 8000 in it, and it means HD.
They are expensive & might not be the best unit for entry level. (unless you got about $500. to spend)
However, you can get up with CNX Nano2 for about $100. (ebay) which is SD.

Hi Chance.316, welcome to ABA! We are happy to have you here. In my post, near the rose are some links for you to check out. One would be the "receiver reviews" the other one will take you to the different receiver "help" pages and you can read about the different problems going on with each one and maybe it will make your decision a little easier! The most popular at the time are the Kbox, 3 types of nfusion (solaris, phoenix, and the HD) then you have the three models of SonicView, (360 elite and premier and the 8000hd) The SV is still trying to get things working better....so you should really read as much as you can.
