Hello all
My name is Dennis and i live in Philadelphia. I know nothing about this and want to learn about it before i start spending money which is why i am here. I would like to know what i need, Which is the best and how much it may cost me to get started. . Can i get this info here or is there a good thread or site which explains it form the ground up?? Any info is greatly appreciated.

Hello and welcome to ABA! This is the best place to learn all you can about FTA testing! Start at the "newbie" section and work your way around the forums. Read, read, read all you can. The "FTA Glossary" tab above will help with unfamiliar words and phrases. As Bobo's post above links you to the receiver reviews to read about what people think about what they are using. I would suggest also going to the "help section" for whatever receiver you decide to purchase, so you can read about some of the problems. Good luck to you. It's a great hobby that takes time and patience....and a few extra dollars also helps...LOL
