I purchase a SV8000HD receiver and a Ku Twin LNBF. Can somebody please tell me how I should setup my Sv8000hd receiver with the above LNB.,

Hello and welcome to ABA! In the drop down box up in the left hand corner, you'll see SonicView, click "go" tab. That will take you to the SV help page. At the bottom is the SV8KHD "help section". Go to the "sticky files" there and start reading. There are step by step instructions that the Mods here have worked very had to set up for us. You should be able to get everything you need there and look in the correct forum for setting up your dish also. You will need to down load files to get your stb to work, so that will require you to upgrade your membership to VIP status. It is worth the small amount you pay to insure that you are getting safe and tested files. So, when you have time, start reading all the information available to you here. If you don't understand a word or phrase, look in the "FTA Glossary" tab above. Ask for help if you need it, but make sure you ask your question in the correct area. This question is in the "Introduce yourself here" area. In order to get a faster answer ask for help in the "help section" for the SV8000HD. It's one of the best stbs out, I hope you enjoy it. this is much more than just a place to get files. it is a community with dedicated members, forums for just about anything, social groups, your own profile page, and too much more to list.
make ABADSS your first stop for everything fta and you will be rewarded with much more.
reading is the best way to learn, use the search option to find posts related to your specific problem. if you still need help post a question in the proper forum.
helpful hints:
* read and understand the site rules to guide you through our many forums.
* hard reboot with the switch on back of your receiver solves many minor issues.
* before you unplug your receiver, or disconnect any connection including the switch or lnb ALWAYS REMEMBER to turn the receiver off using the switch on back of the receiver. you could burn up your switch or mess up your settings if you dont.
* post your type of receiver, your antenna settings, and explain your problem well to receive the best help.
* you need to upgrade your membership to access the files section on this site. this can be done by clicking upgrade membership at the top of the page.
* hijacking threads is confusing and not wanted here at abadss. see the site rules to understand better about hijacking threads. to avoid this start your own thread in the proper forum if you have any questions.
* this is an informative and friendly site devoted to the fta hobby. the members and moderators will be glad to help in any way they can.
