Brand new to FTA, first time ti ABADSS
Hi All,
Just purchased my first FTA setup. Will be hooking it up this weekend. Located in Western Canada (although not TOO far west, lol). My equiptment includes the following...
- SonicView SV 360 Elite w/pvr and 2 tuners
- 23" (approx) Elliptical dish
- 2 x Zinwell LNB's
If anyone has some immediate Do's, Don'ts, or WTF are you doing's, be sure to fire away. Tips and tricks always appreciated. Will be happy to share my stories, successes or otherwise, for anyone who cares to hear about it.
Thanks in advance !!!

Hi and welcome to ABA! Sounds like you have made some great choices with your equipment and by joining ABA!! May I suggest looking on the SonicView page and reading the "sticky" files in the 360 "help section", plus reading over all the files there from other members that have had problems and solutions. That seems to be a pretty popular receiver at this time and I think everyone is happy with it. Good luck testing and hope to hear more from you!

Re: Brand new to FTA, first time ti ABADSS
hello, welcome to abadss, the best fta site on the net!!
this is much more than just a place to get files. it is a community with dedicated members,
forums for just about anything, social groups, your own profile page, access to a weekly poker game,
and too much more to list.
make ABADSS your first stop for everything fta and you will be rewarded with much more.
reading is the best way to learn, use the search option to find posts related to your specific problem.
if you still need help post a question in the proper forum.
helpful hints:
* read and understand the site rules to guide you through our many forums.
* hard reboot with the switch on back of your receiver solves many minor issues.
* before you unplug your receiver, or disconnect any connection including the
switch or lnb ALWAYS REMEMBER to turn the receiver off using the switch on back of the receiver.
you could burn up your switch or mess up your settings if you dont.
* post your type of receiver, your antenna settings, and explain your problem well to receive the best help.
* you need to upgrade your membership to access the files section on this site. this can be done by
clicking upgrade membership at the top of the page. it is free to join the site, ask questions and receive help.
you can upgrade at any time.
* hijacking threads is confusing and not wanted here at abadss. see the site rules to understand
better about hijacking threads. to avoid this start your own thread in the proper forum
if you have any questions.
* this is an informative and friendly site devoted to the fta hobby. the members
and moderators will be glad to help in any way they can.
enjoy the forums and come back often!
