Hello
Hello!
I am extremely new to the FTA system. Can someone tell me what items I will need to purchase to get started? I have one Directv oval dish with a triple LNB, one round Directv dish with a single LNB and a Dish Network dish.

hello, welcome to abadss, the best fta site on the net!!
this is much more than just a place to get files. it is a community with dedicated members,
forums for just about anything, social groups, your own profile page, access to a weekly poker game,
and too much more to list.
make ABADSS your first stop for everything fta and you will be rewarded with much more.
reading is the best way to learn, use the search option to find posts related to your specific problem.
if you still need help post a question in the proper forum.
helpful hints:
* read and understand the site rules to guide you through our many forums.
* hard reboot with the switch on back of your receiver solves many minor issues.
* before you unplug your receiver, or disconnect any connection including the
switch or lnb ALWAYS REMEMBER to turn the receiver off using the switch on back of the receiver.
you could burn up your switch or mess up your settings if you dont.
* post your type of receiver, your antenna settings, and explain your problem well to receive the best help.
* you need to upgrade your membership to access the files section on this site. this can be done by
clicking upgrade membership at the top of the page. it is free to join the site, ask questions and receive help.
you can upgrade at any time.
* hijacking threads is confusing and not wanted here at abadss. see the site rules to understand
better about hijacking threads. to avoid this start your own thread in the proper forum
if you have any questions.
* this is an informative and friendly site devoted to the fta hobby. the members
and moderators will be glad to help in any way they can.
enjoy the forums and come back often!

welcome murf1 you are in the right place, to get started. first of all, i would suggest, you research the different recievers, and decide what you want to get out of one. then you can figure out what else (not much) you need.

welcome to badss,big fta family ,the faster way to learn is reading do your search in the forun and read the other people problems and solutions;99% of the time the quetion you are going to ask is already in this forum answer by the mods site helpers and all the members that new the answer.
to answer your quetion about the dish you got,it depends on what sat you want to get if you just want to get dishnetwork, use the dishnetwork dish you got and two singles lnb or a legacy twin lnb eather dish pro or standar. |
