Hey guys/gals
I'm new to the whole idea of free-to-air satellite and have a lot to learn. I will be receiving my first FTA receiver on Friday. It is an nFusion Solaris. I know it isn't the greatest but, for a first box, I'm hoping it will work out alright. I already have a dish hooked up to my apartment that was left behind from the previous renters. Luckily it is a Dish 500 with dual lnb... Any advice to getting started?

I do have one quick question and maybe I should post this elsewhere...but are they any accessories that you would recommend I get? Anything at all... I will have my STB right next to a WAP so I can run a Cat5 and have auto-updates and all that... but is there anything else that would be worth investing in?

yes i agree ....and own one....solaris is becoming a staple backup.....especially now
heck some even use it as their primary....
You may want to look at purchase a dish motor.... resaon for that is you will be wanting to switch between 91 and 110 and 119
