Top-seeded Ana Ivanovic lost in one of the biggest upsets in tennis history Thursday, stunned by 188th-ranked Julie Coin 6-3, 4-6, 6-3 in the second round of the U.S. Open.
That's a historic upset in the Open's Women's competition,
Never before in the Open era that began in 1968 had the No. 1 woman lost this early in the tournament.
Venus won her match while Sarena is playing now and others have moved to the next round as well.
Most high profile n seeded players in the Men's competition advanced - some struggled but made it ti the finish line.
