.... BTW - they both won their 4th round matches today( Serena just won,6-2,6-2) while Venus won her contest earlier in d day 6-1,6-3..and they will play each other in the QUARTER FINALS..NEXT..howz that bro? as such One will be ELIMINATED by the Other??

Except unlike so many of their all-in-the-family faceoffs at Grand Slam tournaments, including at Wimbledon in July, this Williams vs. Williams showdown will not decide the championship. Instead, this one will come in the quarterfinals.

They’ve played 16 times as professionals, with each winning eight. That includes 10 meetings at major tournaments, with each winning five. The most recent was when Venus beat Serena for the title at the All England Club, the seventh all-Williams Grand Slam final.

They play on Wednesday folks...

that sure was some Tennis ERA ...but now it's POWER TENNIS..it's disappointing that the US dominance n drive has diminished while europian players r on a prowl..oh can't win for loosing i guess...but if u get back in d action promise u will love it..enjoy d game ppl....

It's no diffrent -since all pro sports evolve with players n personalities they bring on the field/court/diamond or the net n so forth..evolution of tennis is in transition again with RAFA -new king of d courts.....n..no clear queen in d women's camp since d william sister's dominance until just recently....
