Re: Nuesat and Neosat
Don't get your hopes up just yet. Although the merger is true, I think the rumor about the Neusat fix is just intended to keep sales from stopping for dealers with excess stock. I may be wrong, but it seems all the other units were at least trying fixes within a few days of the ECM, and just about all of them excluding Neusat and Orasat are back up now. I think there's a hardware issue, or some copyright issues that extend past the Lite model.I've heard a lot of excuses about timelines and such, but don't buy any of it. One of them said they were waiting to release the Neusat and Neosat bins at the same time. That didn't happen. I don't know what excuse they'll come up with next, but I wouldn't waste any money buying discounted Neusat boxes. Buy something you know has support. For the ones like me still waiting, we can either keep waiting, or save up some money and buy something in the same price range like Coolsat or Captiveworks. A lot of them are coming down in price, and units like Captiveworks have the added advantage of using open source code, so as long as the box can run the instructions, we should have a fix for them very quickly.

Re: Nuesat and Neosat
I installed NEUSAT HD 9000 two day back, I can't see any channel. So now I understand why I am not seeing channels.
I updated the patch Neusat HD9000 HD-9000 v0011 11-1-07 on my NEUSAT HD 9000 and added the latest keys posted on Jan 10, 2008. Still I don't see free channels. It shows "$" in the next column of the TV channel name.
I have DN Antenna , and I am in New Jersey.
Please suggest what is wrong in my settings.
You help is 1000 times of great help and appreciated.
Thanks,

I agree with everything you say. I also wonder why they would waste money for a fix for the older Neusat receivers, when they can push their new line of receivers - which are more reliable. By them not putting out a new Bin after the merger, will not hurt them! Starting to put out new Bins for a short time; then not being able to put them out because the receiver is not capable of a fix, would hurt them much more. I would love to see them support the complete Neusat line, but I will believe it when I see it.

Re: Nuesat and Neosat
After reading what has bennn said on serveral other sites I do believe that we are just getting scammed into holding on to our boxes as they sell of the stock on the shelfs of thier vendors. If they really where going to support the nusat they have had plenty of time to through something together, even if was just to get some of the locals back. any saying that they are getting locals are full of Sh!!!! I have tried my box at three differant locations and with differant size sats and types of lnbs. THe box is useless, I still hope that maybe thay will get honest and show some sort of intrest in what we are all going through and JUST DO IT instead of lying to us. Action is key here and as of yet there is no ACTION..... Just a bunch of hipe from the thieves that they are.

Re: Nuesat and Neosat
easy there buddy.this merger just happened.far as i know they haven't even received some units and the source codes yet.
its only been a week or so.i wouldn't be expecting anything for these for some time.
no one said they would have files already or anything.
don't be surprised if it takes them a month or so to learn these units before seeing any files.but thats only MY best guess.it could be longer.if sooner than that id be surprised, and you would be happy lol
don't expect anything to happen over night is all i'm saying.
grab yourself a cw 700 for 120 bucks for now and stay in the action.

Well then I am full of it, because I get about 20 locals - nothing else. It might depend where you live and what spot beams you are able to get.
