module not conneted
Well, got my kbox plus with khub. Hooked up the receiver to tv , put black serial cable from hub to kbox, put ethernet cable from linkey router to khub , put power cable to k hub . Downloaded khub file dated 1-1-2068, It was with the khub activater, downloaded k1 plus 185 file put both unzipped files on a flash drive. Went to receiver put khub file in receiver, did a factory reset put the k1 plus in, did a factory reset Scanned 91, 110, and 119. 98% signal. went to options cut off auto roll . Went to mode put to network.. went to configuration-network setting. it said checking, please wait then says module is not connected. I cut power to modem, router, and khub off. waited five minutes and cut modem on then router, then khub, and then the receiver back on. I had a hd nfusion hooked up to the ethernet cable and router so I know the cable and router works. I can go to static and type in the ip address and go back to dhcp, then I will get a version:MX210FT 1.27 that will show up at the top right of the screen. the all it says is module is not connected. Can anybody help. thanks

Re: module not conneted
you need to hook khub to pc and load the file in activation zip to it to activate the khub

Re: module not conneted
...and don't worry about factory reset..just put file 1.85 in and then go to ip configurations and put it on static

Re: module not conneted
dont think that you are using the correct cable..
if it is kboxk1, you should have the grey(white) cable connected between the receiver and the khub if it is kbox progidy, it should be the black cable.. go to network settings, select dhcp, go to factory settinsg (green button), press ok, exit exit exit, use your remote to switch off the receiver, wait 60 secs and switch it on using your remote and you will be watching tv...... |

Re: module not conneted
I am having the same problems as this guy. I can get my hub to get an ip and all. I can never get it to show any tv tho. The light on the hub is either red or sometimes not on at all. I flashed the hub using the loader first, and when that didn't worked, used the flash drive to upate the hub after the latest release. 201 i believe. Any other suggestions ????

Re: module not conneted
i`m having the same problem , i just bought a prodigy..i`ve activated the khub with the small black cable that come with receiver , i`ve tried a gray cable , still not getting the right settings in network settings , i`ve rebooted everything i don`t know how many times now , i`ve changed setting in the option`s menu to "network "...i`ve turned off both autoroll`s for both providers,i`ve tried " factory set at least a dozen times now , tried factory restor a few times , loaded new file " 20090616 " at least 3 times ...scanned satellites , i can get my local weather forcasts but i can`t get any tv channels except the free one`s , i have a green light on my khub where the internet cable is plugged in but have an orange light that goes on & off when ever i try differant channels , i have read on here that the main light should be "green " if it`s connected to the internet , i`ve tried both "static " & " dchp" settings ...i`ve tried changing IP addresses & gateway to what they should be & saved them , when i go back to check them after i try to get channels they are all messed up again , i have read on here that i need to load a factory file first but the ones i`ve tried says " invalid firmware " when i try to load them with USB , i know my router works as i also have another "IKS " box working off it , i`ve even tried running my ethernet cable directly to my modem ..but still not luck , i have rebooted everything at once a few times trying to get a fresh "IP address " to the Kbox .
Any help would be very greatful at this point , almost ready to give up on this new box .....thanks |

First, undertand that MY box arrives today and I will be installing it in the next 6 hours or so, SO my advice is based only on all my reading and my reading of your posts of problems. I'm just taking a shot here since you mentioned the INVALID statement you got. This is the KHUB file as I understand it: k1pro 200 20090616 Is this the one you used? Just a thought....remember I have not done my install yet. ALSO, I know that when I REDO a process as many times as you have, I am prone to JUST KEEP MAKING the same mistake. ALSO, I remember reading about a cleaning file, but that might have been on the SV receivers, so don't panic if you don't find anything on it for the KBOX. So, back off a bit, re-examine the files you are using and try to take as fresh a start as you can. |

Have you looked at this post...no one has responded to it, but it looks like it could be helpful. http://www.abadss.com/forum/982-kbox...tics-menu.html It is apparently an easter egg (hidden) type diagnostic program on the box. |

I know this, I got my box yesterday also. Your problems are idenitical to mine. I can't get my light to go green, but it gets an ip, have tried static, different dns... changed network cables... nothing seems to work. I'm using the 201 update on the box... have activated my hub from the pc, then even tried it from the box using the rom file and new 201 bin... Still no green light.... Maybe a bad batch ??? Dunno..... |
