N3 transition and what to expect
hey guys sorry to ask this in here may not be the proper place but I have been reading about this N3 transition thing and to be honest i dont really understand it so well
for what i understand all channels will go away from they way they are currently being transmited right? so what do we need to get the channels back once the transition is finished.. do I need a new box... will there be codes for this n3 stuff or do we have to say good bye to FTA tv.
any info will be appreciated as i dont really know what to expect thanks!

Re: N3 transition and what to expect
Suggest you get an Nfusion soon before they are all sold out. Bev went N3 last year and were back up excluding PPV's & Porn within 2-3 weeks through card sharing. I can't see why Charlie will be any different. Out of 466 channels possible with Bev, I guesstimate 350 are active. Also no STB has come close to Nfusion as far as up-time & being hassle free. Other than true FTA, I really do not see any other options right now considering Europe has been N3 for a couple of years now and they have yet to find away around it.

Re: N3 transition and what to expect
Hey there:
You'll want to get at least a 36" dish or bigger (depending upon the space you have). To this, add an Innvacom LNB and a Dish Motor and you'll be great! You'll own the SKY! No lack of things to choose from.

I agree, but no matter what we think, there are going to be a lot of people "hang On" to the fact that there may be a fix soon. As for as your statement on Europe, I know from talking to other people, that there has not been no fix for n3. I believe that "if" its broken, its going to be a long time down the road. If there is not a solution in 3 to 6 months, all receivers will go the IKS route. Ill stick to my nfusion.

Re: N3 transition and what to expect
Check some of the Free Classified AD sites in your area, people sell this stuff all the time.

Re: N3 transition and what to expect
As I'm sure you are all aware yesterday (right around the time we had a few site problems), DN swapped a whole mess of channels to the new N3 system. Thus knocking many people into a "my hair is on fire" panicked state.
Its important that everyone remain calm as the rest of the channels are switched over. Solutions have already arrived for Sonicview and will for other brands shortly,DN is scheduled to be fully switched to N3 by June 10th supposedly, hang in there.
