just where to start - ABA DSS

i have nfusion solaris.dish 500 dish, 2lnb.i have only taken receiver out of box.locked in 110 & 118. owners manual i dont understand but somehow i got 400 or more channels tv. only abt 6 channels you can see.they are dish ads.all other channels say no service. what do i actually need to do or down load to make things work. iread abt needing files & such down loaded to make things work. just would like to actually know what to do.thank you

i use my lap top off the telephone circuit. receiver came with a cable to hook to it & back of computor. what happens or what do i do when i hook to the computor? to be honest i am completely lost

if I'm not mistaken your dialup won't work with the solaris (unless you leave it connected all the time) the nfusion requires a continually live internet connection for self updating.

you also need to load 150.3 and you do need a constant connection to the internet.

thank you for info.i did hook my receiver up to the internet live.it now shows the ip addresses and such.before it didnt.
where do i find the 150.3 program? is this something i have to down load to my laptop and then transfer to the receiver with the supplied srew in cable that came with the receiver? im sorry to ask all this but im completely lost and not knowledgeable with the computors and such.

you can load the box by webloader now you have address. you get your ip number and put it in the url.the number you use is the first number in your ip and put it in the top box here it says http -for instance-you put in 192.168.001.003 then hit enter then a drop down box should appear and it will ask for user name -admin then password 0000,you need to have 150.3 on desktop ready and unzipped.

where di i find this 150.3 program? does this program install on my computor?
does the srew in cable i have work to transfer info from laptop to receiver?

try it this way go to menu - then go to internet. scroll to s/w check and download it from server.

crc is correct

this is what it says.

i havent found any sreen that gives me an option to down load anything.

you need to get the file on your desktop unzipped and load it with the 131 loader.you need to use the serial cable that came with the nfusion

you can get this all here but you will have to upgrade membership.

ok.i will do that.so right now there is really nothing i can do till i get the file and loader?

let me ask you this;here is what i done for now and tell me if this works:
i have the internet hooked to my laptop (its live net), i have the screw in cable that came with the receiver hooked to laptop & to receiver.receiver hooked to tv.
will this work to install files? then if everything successful, then i should figure out how to keep receiver hooked up live to net even when im on my laptop at nite.
is something to keep them both in use called a bridge or such?

got my program loaded and dont know how but it started working.thanks

got another question:

while watching last nite my service went blank.here is what it says on screen.could you explain what this all means and if i need to do something to correct problem.it was still this way this morning when i checked.
SERVICE NOT AVAILABLE
I-ON N-ON P-OFF EMUL-OFF SUNS DISCONNECTED

this uasually means server is down,i cannot confirm it went down because i am watching the HD all morning.if you have any more issues with this let us no.
