How can i convince the soon to be wife to let me keep my stb? - ABA DSS

I dont know how I can convince my soon to be wife that stealing sat signals is ok and I should be able to keep.

She wants me to get rid of it when we get married next may..
She says, since she is going to be a school teacher, that if I would get in trouble she would not be able to work...she will lose her teaching license.

Quite frankley she is pissing me off about.....but i do mak over 70k/yr at age of 25.....so i cant complaine about paying for a sub. i just like the hobbie..

The first mistake you made was telling her that you are stealing signals. Just to make her feel better get a sub and pirate on the side. My girlfriend has no idea that I am pirating. She thinks we have a sub. What she doesn't know can't hurt her.

Thats a good idea....how could i work things out if she knows what im doing.

Maybe you can try the ku band and get true fta. Use a motor to move the dish and work it in that it's true fta. True fta is not agianst the law.
Then if a white lie/ say getting from bev ain't against the law their from canda and dish from the usa. It would work on my wife.

Its tough for her to say that she enjoys watching the stb to convince her in that was since I had to move away for work, but shes gonna be here for a month in july so maybe if a decent amount of channels are up....she can enjoy herself while im at work

Get rid of the stationary dishes. Buy a motor and a FTA dish, linear LNBf .

scan for wild feeds and backhauls, see how far East and West you can catch birds. That's a hobby. Pressing the channel up and down button is a past time.

On occasion those same channels she was complaining about go in the clear. Lock in and enjoy them on those days. Even the the dongle stbs haven't been real reliable. Get her a sub box

Tell he don't worry about it. It would never hold up in a court of law. Its not like you have a pound of marijuana laying around....do you? J/K....but she would never get in trouble with it. My wife knows what I do although she has no idea how to load the stb or anything about it...and doesn't want to know either. I doubt they would pull her license for simply watching some tv.

since FTA is a hobby, keep it at that. You can easily afford a sub to see what you are getting and the plus side, is no one can scramble it on ya, unless you do not pay for it.
Relationships, and especially new ones are about compromise...
I am sure she will have to give up or curtail something of hers for you as well

... it mostly all evens out.
