Cat5 cable split?
Can you split a cat5 signal?

SO if i have one cat 5 ran to my router, i dont have to run another cat5 line for another receiver?

right, put a hub in front of the router and then run one cable to the router and a second cable to the receiver; but, why not protect your receiver behind your router (firewall)?
When I say hub, it's just a dumb 'splitter'; a switch has some smarts, but not as smart as a bridge or router

Why not just run a seperate wire to each receiver from the router? No point in buying a hub if you don't really need it

It won't be that long of a run, guess thats what I will do. I didn't know they made splitters for cat5.
