I know if you completely cover up your isp no server will know where to send the updates, info ...it will be worthless internet connection, sending info to somewhere else will do us no good

I know what you mean. My Ihub is running great, but I'd really like to hide my IP. It just sounds like there is lots of room to screw it up with these 2 softwares. ?????

seems like if anything would actually work without running the pc 24/7 it would have to be like vpn on the router, dam heat makes everything sticky . Haven't played with vpn yet though. To bad ahhh wasn't a program hmmm . how is emery makin out?

Yes it is important that you port forward. Reason being first and for most when you get information from the IHUB server all they have is your external or WAN i.p...thats all they can see. You need to tell the router then where on your LAN or local area network which computer or in this case which IHUB to receive that information.
