Good morning ABA Family!! Yes it's the last Sunday of August, and the majority of the children will be heading back to school tomorrow, if they didn't start back last Monday. This has been the fastest month ever!!
Please drive carefully and watch out for the little ones on the streets!!
Happy birthday to jsph!! Hope it's a great birthday!! Happy birthday or ABA anniversary to our members that are celebrating their special day today!! If August 30th is your Birthday 2009 will be a Number Four year for you. This is a year of work and development. It's "nose to the grindstone" time. It's a time to deal with practical matters, and it's not a time to be lazy or especially gregarious. Sometimes, it can be a year that feels hard, monotonous and routine, and/or lonely. Positive new relationships are generally not formed in a Four personal year. Advice - get yourself organized, work to build your resources, keep busy. Thanks so much for being part of our ever growing community!
It was a busy night in FTAland with UFC 102 'Couture vs. Nogueira' being broadcast from the Rose Garden in Portland, Oregon. Bouts of interest included former UFC Heavyweight and Light Heavyweight champion, Randy Couture, facing off against former PRIDE Heavyweight champion and former UFC Interim Heavyweight champion, Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira. I'm sorry every one, I love Randy Couture to death but....how many times is he going to retire? He should be commentating not fighting....just my opinion. But I know he has fans out there that want him to continue. I just don't like seeing him get hurt!!
The only thing that seemed more important than the actual match-ups, was which code teams were going to be able to deliver all of the action. KBox fans riding high on their teams previous record of delivery were hopeful that they would get to see the fight. While anticipation was equally high in the SV and nFusion camps. Needless to say it looks like Team KBox, and Team nFusion delivered by all accounts freeze-free fights, so a big hats off to those teams.
LLWS FINALS: Calif will play Taipei at 3pm EST for first and second place and Texas will play Mexico for third place in the finals today. How exciting!! Congratulations to all the teams that made it to the playoffs. Can't believe it's almost all over!!
Heard some of you are having RAIN???? Send it to Calif!! It was over 100 yesterday....hot and muggy. Should only be in the 80s today, they said the fog will be rolling in any minute now....lol...we'll see....lol
